He's almost correct. Really, it's the fault of the media for being so obsessed with the trivial matters of the Royal Family that they're willing to devote a significant amount of their available coverage to the issue. They endlessly skewered the hospital for being incompetent when this 'prank' happened, but now that the woman killed herself it's the DJ's fault for making her feel bad? If the media hadn't reported on the issue, she would have been mildly embarrassed when she found out that she had been tricked. But when the worldwide press feels that the mistake you made at your desk job regarding pregnancy of some powerless aristocrat is more important than war, famine, or disease, how can you not feel absolutely overwhelmed by the gravity of the situation?

I think that he's partially right about the pressure, intentional or otherwise. He seems to try hard to portray it as malice in a way, or a cruel indifference, but I don't feel that is an angle to be had. Plus, people don't just take their own lives unless there are serious underlying issues.

I'm no fan of the royals, but how the hell is it Kate's fault? She didn't crank call the nurse, the DJs did. And he's making wild accusations about Buckingham Palace putting pressure on her not to talk to the media...WHY WOULD SHE? The hospital probably put more pressure on the nurse than anything else.
