I love the game, don't get me wrong.

But there just doesn't seem to be all that much story behind the game.

Maybe we could get Michael Bay to direct!

There's enough set destruction in the game to justify such a decision, yes.

I think henceforth 'pigs' can now refer to shoddy building contractors.

You have to admit..... there are thousands of games on mobile devices that are just about as fun as Angry Birds overall, but, they have really milked it for all its worth monetarily.... with a 7 year old, I can count the mobile game, the band aids, the board game and a National Geographic "Angry Birds" book in our house.

Probably most of the hate here will be people who are angry they didn't come up with something that has made 10% of what Angry Birds has brought in.

So this is like the mobile video game version of the frat boy cliche where this guy is talking about how all frat boys get 'top shelf pussy?'

Cats will always climb to the highest shelf if they can. It's more satisfying to hiss in your face and swat at your hair. (And that's if they love you.)

I'm sure they will still be popular in 2016. Just look at what was popular 4 years ago that is still popular today: things like MySpace, WALL-E, and the TV show "The Shield". Those things are on the tips of everyone's tongues these days. AMIRITE?

Yeah, I'm a bit baffled by the chosen release date... WTF? 2016? That seems extreme, in the least. 4 years to make a CGI animated movie? There are studios putting out several a year.

Ask and ye shall receive! Deus Ex movie has been green lit. Let's just hope it turns out better than Max Payne...

The cyberpunk flavor of Deus Ex: Human Revolution is going to Hollywood, with CBS Films confirming plans to produce a big screen adaptation of the 2011 game. Sinister director Scott Derrickson will take the helm, and he's also developing the script in collaboration with his Sinister cohort C. Robert Cargill.

For those who haven't seen it, Sinister is quite a solid little horror movie, with lots of creepy imagery and a very memorable antagonist. Deus Ex isn't exactly a horror story, but the gritty cyberpunk setting should mesh well with Derrickson's and Cargill's creative sensibilities.

This. Came here to mention to those that want to use this to proclaim the downfall of our society that Pac Man already had a show. Angry Birds is practically Oscar-worthy compared to the plot of Pac Man.

Although AB does seem better suited to a Saturday morning cartoon. Do they still have those?

Back in my day, we didn't have all these angry birds running around, with their pants falling down, listening to their rap music. No sir, back then birds showed you respect and didn't speak unless spoken to. And they showed some damn self respect, too. Wouldn't catch any self respecting bird putting itself in a slingshot back in MY day.

Some networks play cartoons Saturday morning but they are usually just reruns of stuff that's usually on Nickelodeon or Disney. But your point is valid. I thought it would make a better Cartoon Network show than a film. Particularly in light of how long they are going to take to get this .made. Seriously they don't think Angry Birds will be horribly dated by then?
