Researcher: The average radio listener listens for eighteen minutes. The average Howard Stern fan listens for - are you ready for this? - an hour and twenty minutes.

Pig Vomit: Okay, fine. But what about the people who hate Stern?
Researcher: Good point. The average Stern hater listens for two and a half hours a day.

This is actually not very surprising, considering what happened to me last week. I was out shopping for bath towels when a campaign fundraiser guy started demanding I contribute to getting Romney elected, only the election was already over and Obama won. Don't you know it's over, I said, but he kept growling and tugging at my bath towels and hissing at me. Let it go, man, I said, but I think people all around me misunderstood because people were screaming and stampeding and pointing at him, and then Animal Control showed up because apparently he wasn't a republican, he was a rabid wolverine that had somehow gotten 'Romney 2012' stickers all over him and the next thing I know I'm in the hospital with shredded bath towels and needles sticking in me everywhere. It wasn't much fun.

So yeah, I can totally see this happening.

Yeah that MSM sure had egg on its face on election night when everything they predicted came to pass. Fox getting it completely wrong and having a pig man have a pants-shiatting tantrum on live tv just drove them insane.

There's a flaw in that arguement. By the time you've listened to Limbaugh, Beck, or Hannity for 18 minutes you've pretty much heard their whole spiel for the rest of the week.

At least the rest of the week.

One week after the 2012 election, Fox News correspondent Jesse Watters told Bill O'Reilly that Obama voters were "zombies" who supported the president "as long as there was Obamacare, gay marriage and abortion on demand."

And we get out of Afghanistan...yeah. I'm going to support him on the other issues because no matter how bad he is (SOPA, USAPATRIOT, etc.) he can't be any worse than the Republicans.

Jedekai: I'd be all for a Libertarian (which I am. Mostly.) News Channel...

...but it'd just feature four people staring, mouths agape at what The Fine And Upstanding Among Us (Whom We Put In Office) falls out of their mouths.

Then they'd slam their heads against their desks until unconscious.

but there's no T.V. in Libertarian paradise, i don't think... who finances that?

Few things here are more amusing than people mocking others for thinking.

Things have always been this way, and they're always gonna be this way. What's your fancy ass "third party " gonna do?!?" Dumbasses!"

Since you watch Fox News so religiously, every other media outlet appears biased to you. It's an "afterbias" that only appears to Fox News viewers. They've spent so much time viewing the heavy Fox News bias that the rest of the world seems biased to them.

A similar thing happens if you stare too long at the color yellow. When you look away, the world appears blue. It's not that the world is actually blue, but just that you've spent too much time staring at yellow.

Try turning off Fox News for a couple of weeks and see if that changes your perspective.

Yup. They all are.

Seriously, O'Reilly, anti-gun farkwad that he is, is really a very smart guy. Harvard I believe. He could easily and honestly debate everybody on his show.

But he knows shouting and controversy gets viewers. Hell, I know more lefties that watch his show than righties so they can get mad about something.

Stop watching TV news. It's bad for you.

The Harvard thing is questionable. From the Wiki:

In 1995, having established himself as a national media personality, O'Reilly was accepted to Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government; he received a Master of Public Administration in 1996.[25]

Anyway, it seems every time he goes up against Jon Stewart, Stewart wipes him out. His tried-and-true method for "winning" debates is to intimidate his opponent, which isn't really winning.

At the $500 donor level, you were placed on certain campaign distribution lists that included information not generally disclosed to the general public, which a media organization could monitor to determine if there was anything newsworthy.

I myself have used this same tactic in local elections, and would forward the Dear Valued Doner e-mails to my guy's campaign.

Of course I did not give $500 bucks.
