Make your own.

Find a YouTube video on making your own candy canes and follow the recipe and procedure, but instead of making a shepherd's crook make it into a pig instead. It won't look polished, but it'll be more charming that way. It'll be great fun.

But don't lick the spoon unless you enjoy third degree tongue burns.

Used to live about 3 miles from the place that makes those pigs. I normally don't like peppermint flavored candies, but those things are darn good.

Also if you make your own you could make the pig any flavor you want. Skip the peppermint oil and embed bits of real bacon, if you're so inclined.

I grew up in Rotterdam and never heard of it until I was in my mid 20s from my now-MIL. Who lives about 3 miles away from my parents.

They also do something involving hiding a fake pickle in the tree and have the kids look for it. I was never one for playing "hide the pickle" with kids, so I don't get this one either.
