This just in: There's a capital gains tax increase starting next year. He probably has a stake in the "shadowy group of investors."

1. Build up a business and a reputation
2. Find some idiots that want to buy it at the peak
3. Sell it to them
4. Wait for the value to collapse, especially as they're idiots that don't know how to run it.
5. Buy it back for a fraction of the value.

If I owned anything in publishing, I'd be getting the hell out. Even though Parker is well-respected, there's a lot of people who can now publish a newsletter.

At least the wine reviewers would be able to determine different wines in a blind test, unlike audio reviewers listening to different correctly made amplifiers.

Admittedly, I've never been this powerful in a worldly sense, but what do you do if someone offers you the favors of his daughter and you'd rather have his son? How do you gracefully refuse?
