Who?

2012-12-11 09:22:03 AM
19th time? Does she get a free visit with her 20th check in?

Oh, and..

"Brooke --who checked into rehab tonight -- won't bump into any walls in the middle of the night because she knows the facility very well -- she's been there before."

That's some mighty fine writing there, Lou

Druggie who is the ex-wife of a druggie is having problems with drugs....again.

If this doesn't scream Hollywood, then I don't know what does.

I abused ritalin very hard for about ten years.
I'd take around 120 mg on binge nights, and download pron while getting insanely drunk. Sometimes, I'd stay up all weekend, not leaving my apartment and just taking more and more pills, watching more and more pron.

I'm surprised it didn't kill me.

...And, damn, I miss those times oh so much.

Take Adderall for narcolepsy, work in a college town and have had to suppress fists of rage when overhearing people talking about their connect when I have to go to multiple pharmacies to find my legit script (getting better now, for a few months I had to drive 3 hours round trip to fill it), getting a kick, etc.

Pick13: WTF is with all this Adderall crap. Been taking the stuff for 11+ years and never has any probl SQUIRREL

It hasn't been 11 years, but I've been on it for 3, Dextroamohetamine for 3 before that. I would have been on it longer but frankly I enjoyed being a manic asshole. Then I grew up... Anyway, I don't know anyone with actual ADD/ADHD that takes it and had a problem with it.

The only folks I know that have problems with it are ones that clearly don't need it. When I take it I'm calm, rational, focused. When I have seen others take it that don't have any apparent issue they are spastic and tweaked out of their gourd. The funny thing to me is that when I go out with my wife and her friends socially, sometimes I take a super low dose and it wears off. They ask, "is he on something," to which my wife has to say, "sadly no, this is him off of something." As I run towards traffic calling everyone a farker.

Also narcoleptic. Still awake because Adderall won't let me sleep, getting a kick, etc.

Thankfully I can walk to a Kroger pharmacy that carries the stuff, but I get pretty annoyed at people talking about how fun it is to abuse. It's a pain in the ass reminding my doctor to mail me a new prescription each month, the side effects are awful, 50% of the time I end the day hating the world and completely unwilling to do anything but sit and stare and be depressed as hell, too irritable for any sound or movement around me, and I STILL barely function well enough to FAKE having my shiat together.

Nothing about it is pleasant or enjoyable. And I don't understand why anyone would take a ton of it at once. I have to have propranolol on hand just to tolerate taking it as prescribed (and I normally have lowish blood pressure).

/tried everything else, it's the only thing that helps at all
//haven't tried Desoxyn, doctor hasn't mentioned it, figure if I bring it up there's no chance in hell even if it has been shown to help narcoleptics who have awful results from all the others
///Provigil and Nuvigil are just extended release rosacea flares that keep my body awake while my mind is basically sleeping

Adderall has Dextroamphetamine as the main ingredient. The rest is the other enantiomer.

Adderall is just speed by another name.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I still envy you.

I truly miss feeling like that.

Without the speed/ADHD drugs, my life is miserable 100 percent of the time. EVERYTHING is boring.

I hate Adderall, my Hubby has ADD and his doctor prescribed that and it made him stay up for 3 days. When he talked to his doctor about this he gave him a prescription for Antivan instead of trying something else.

Oh..........snap?

I took Adderall once recreationally. I spent 6 hours cleaning my house. I polished all the stainless steel, cleaned all the drawers in the fridge and the fridge itself, and reprinted the outside deck. Never again. My buddy thought I lost my mind until I told him what I did.

I started taking Dextroamohetamine (at least I think it was called that) after I as diagnosed when I was in 1st grade for the 2nd time to see if that would help and my grades went up. Then in highschool I changed to Adderall and but my rebelous self said "Fark that, I'm not letting a pill tell me what to do!"...and almost didn't graduate. During that time I had to make it look like I was taking them so I gave them to friends. I didn't understand why they would want that crap since when I was on it it made me want to clean their house. Never had anyone tweak out on them, thank FSM, but I still didn't get why they would want it.

Now that I'm back on Adderall my work ethic is improving and feel like I can function without thinking about 20 different things all at once. Now it's only 10 things and its realllly organized.

I do shiat like that when I'm high. I probably wouldn't like Adderall. I can't stand "speedy" drugs.

Having been on ritalin as a child (and I did need it. My diagnosis was not 'Oh he can't sit still', my diagnosis was "Here's a mutli-month-double-blind-including placebo trial. Have him take a pill from one of the marked boxes each day, and both you and his teachers rate how he did that day, and we'll look at things after it's all said and done", and we did that after my parents had exhausted a lot of other options), I have to ask:

WHY WOULD YOU TAKE THIS RECREATION ALLY?

Don't get me wrong, it helped me focus, but it sort of felt like it was... *making* me focus. Like there was a gun to my head, and I couldn't slip back into the less-focused-but-more-aware-of-my-surroundings ADD state I was used to.

/Now on Straterra. Works pretty well for me, but not for everyone.

Adderall can be crazy addictive if abused and the side effects/comedown are frigging terrible. Had to back away before I turned into some crazy speed freak.

Speed dick and truly awful insomnia is not fun. Ugh.

I think most kinds of mental wackiness are genetic, but that's just my opinion.

Adderall is the new hip drug for dumb white kids down here in austin. At my girls last job, almost 80% of the 100+ person call center pops those things like candy and every time I go to some party, multiple people are selling them.

Adderall? Really? Really?!?!?

Does it make sex feel even better? Serious question..never taken the stuff, but you mentioned pron, so I was wondering if I should run to the doctor and get a prescription ASAP.

Yeah I know it's the main ingredient. I just happened to be on it originally before I was moved to Adderall for the XR type. I have 7 months of it saved up because I don't end up using it all. I always wondered how much that crap sold for on the street.
