These are all giant posters on the walls of Quantum's rec room.

I love all of them, except the snowman one, that one looks like the perspectives are a little off.

He ain't Bonestell, but he's okay.

I'd like to fly around in a giant terrarium on the moon. A moonarium as it were. Or maybe, lunarium would be better.

Good enough for government work!

You are insane. If we support life extension and not space exploration, that means we'll be stuck with the people of Wal*Mart. Forever.

Space colonization will usher in a new era of intellectual apartheid!

It's a dream. It will never happen. We just aren't built to survive anywhere but on Earth, and no amount of technological cocooning will change that. If we go into space for long periods of time we go crazy, get sick, and eventually die.

People who try to colonize another planet will end up sick and dead. It won't work because we didn't evolve on those other planets. We evolved here, to cope with Earth's gravity, Earth's climate, Earth's oxygen, Earth's electromagnetic field, Earth's flora and fauna, and so much more. We can't duplicate all of these things perfectly on another planet, and unless we can, we will not be able to survive for long.

Now, if you want to talk about space colonization as a means to banish undesirables from our world, then that's another subject entirely. I could totally see a future where we ship prisoners, disease-carriers, and our dead to other worlds to be abandoned to their fate. Out of sight is out of mind, in the human perspective.

I'm not saying I condone such actions, but that this is what humanity is.
