I paid to see that piece of shiat.

This sequel makes about as much sense as "The Whole Ten Yards" or "Another Stakeout."

I'm one of the ten people on Earth who found it entertaining. There, I said it.

It was visually interesting, but the pacing was bad and just drug on and on.

I wanted to see the video game adapted but I guess they sort of snagged that concept up with Sucker Punch.

I finally saw it last weekend when we recorded it off of the Disney channel for the kids. I don't think it's by any means a classic, but it was enjoyable enough.

We're through the looking glass now, people

I liked the movie. But then again it had Johnny depp in a kit with an occasional Scottish accent so....

I have such a weakness for Scotsmen I probably shouldn't even admit it online.

The first half was pretty good, but it fell apart in the second half. Like so much in life.

If Alice II: Looking Glass Boogaloo has Stephen Fry as Chessur again, I'll go see it.

Ha! I waited for RedBox, so I was only out a buck and some change.

Overall, not a horrible movie, until the stupid Johnny Depp CGI dance at the end.

I really liked it.

Then again, I like some weird movies.

I loved the Cheshire Cat so much in that movie I can barely remember the rest of it. Especially the bit where he started kneading the hat. I'd love to have a floating blue cat with the voice of Fry hanging about.

I'd rather they made a sequel to Alice in Wonderland: An X-Rated Musical Comedy.

2012-12-10 04:21:05 PM
Give it the "Tin Man" treatment.

/shut up, I liked it.

2012-12-10 04:22:13 PM
It was mostly crap, but I got to ogle the lovely Mia Whatshernamechowski for most of 2 hours and scored some points with the GF for being willing to go see it. So win/win for me.

There is so much AiW prons out there that it has it's own fetish group.

/Most of it is delightful.

It was OK. The CGI was fine, but as a whole, it was just OK. I don't have anything against it, but I wouldn't see the sequel. Sorry Disney, go make your new Star Wars movies really good.

SyFy did a better job.

According to reviews, kind of a "love it or hate it" kind of thing. The consensus is that it's not near as good as Tin Man, however. I never saw it. Loved Tin Man tho.

It SUCKED.

2012-12-10 04:40:11 PM
I enjoyed it.

But then again, Jabberwocky is one of the few poems that exist that I actually like...1 And I played a MUD back in the early 2000's which shamelessly stole from Carol's work for monsters... And I tend to enjoy Johnny Depp's performances.

As long as they don't Pirates it to death a second isn't necessarily bad from my view.

2012-12-10 04:40:12 PM
Enjoyed it, passing on the sequel.

2012-12-10 04:47:40 PM
I liked the Danny Elfman music that plays on my listed pandora channel. Danny Elfman should stay away from Star Wars tho. Family Guy was right on that.

The Evil That Lies In The Hearts Of Men: SyFy did a better job.

That looks like a properly formed sentence, but it doesn't make any sense. The last time I said "SyFy Original Picture" in an airport I got cavity searched. And I deserved it. I know better than to joke about bombs there.

Exactly. I didn't expect it to be a masterpiece, but it was more entertaining than expected from the now tiresome Burton/Depp/Bonham Carter collaborations.

Hated it the first time I saw it. Liked it much more the second go-'round. Now that I've seen it four or five times, I'm actually quite fond of it. Not for the scale and all the cg claptrap, but for the lovely subversiveness of it all. I adore the fact that the Hatter goes all Scottish brogue when he gets reaaaally mad. It's the little things in that movie that are kind of awesome.

Sequel? nah.

and then this.

I like the SFX but fark, Tim Burton just Burtoned it up badly. Plus, didn't they end it on a non sequel route? Then again, Friday the 13th was supposed to end with part 4.

If they took American McGee's Alice and made a film out of it I'd be okay with that.

I enjoyed it. Of course I've found that all Tim Burton movies can be enjoyed if you are elevated.

I don't know about a "non-sequel" ending. Sure, she left Underland, but there's nothing to say she can't come back again. They could pick up right where the first one left off... the ship gets caught in a storm and she rabbit-holes to get away. She has some adventures in Underland, then makes it back out in time to be rescued (or just comes out at her destination).

I would love to know what was going through Kristine De Bell's mind when she made that movie. Was she thinking about a career in porn and then disappointingly decided against it?

Such an amazing little babe she was.

Will Anne Hathaway reprise her role? Because that's all that really matters to me.

hands down a masterfully suburb animation.

Like a tea tray in the sky.

But I wasn't expecting the "Definitive mind blowing Alice experience". Just went to see a movie. The cat was incredible.
