What an idiot...you're supposed to drink the beer before you throw the can. I guess he was too drunk already to figure that out

This is why we need to draw down the military.
This is the kind of person that is exactly the kind of folks we DO NOT want to be training to kill and we should NOT be giving weapons to.
At the slightest provocation, he attacks innocent civilians and attempts to do grievous bodily injury.
I have no idea if this guy was a cook, a truck driver or a hardened infantry combat veteran but all veterans should be considered dangerous and we need to seriously consider their necessity in the view of the current world situation.

Yeah. I'm going to have to agree that his biggest crime was wasting beer.

Then there's:

Stiner also shouted he is a veteran who should be allowed to do whatever he wants, officers said.

Way to sully service, punk.

Fark Reddit or bust: Isn't that just a normal Floridian wedding?

I wonder if this is why my friend here is having hers on a beach in Mexico. Much to everyone she knows' dismay.

What's really special is that she takes everyone's hesitance to shell out the money to attend as "not loving or supporting her." When I heard that I started to seriously consider whether I would attend myself.

Beach weddings are so 1990. They are done, stick a fork in them.

It is a public beach. He was good until he started tossing beer cans.

Running on the beach behind the alter, cursing all of that made him an @$$h*le but it wasn't illegal no matter how much it disrupted someone's "Dream Wedding".

If that is the case, I think that this guy should be summarily stood up in public and drawn and quartered. If need be and they public and courts outrage of his actions is significant, he should be put before a firing squad.
After the Supreme Court struck down the Stolen Valor Act at least the Congress had the good sense to go back, review the wording and in a few short weeks, when the Congress and the President pass the The Stolen Valor Act of 2012, as part of the 2013 defense authorization bill (recently passed the Senate) it will give law enforcement the teeth to address this ongoing scourge of fake veterans. Oh he's probably a Navy Seal too from Team 9, the uber secret team that doesn't even exist and isn't even acknowledged. You know that there are probably 50,000 folks claiming SEAL status when there are only about 2,500 active and only about another 5,000 - 7,000 that have ever served.
Firing squad or drop in to a combat zone with only a K-Bar and a few MREs. It's your choice for claiming something you probably never were.

As a Florida resident and beach dweller, I see people's "beach weddings" ruined all the time. I would never opt for an option with so many variables.

1. Heat. The bride and groom just HAVE to have a beach wedding during the summer here ("we got such a great rate at the hotel!" - they say). It sounds great on paper during the winter in Pittsburgh, of course, but OH THE LULZ when you see a grown man sweat entirely through every layer of a rented tux...and the bridesmaids dresses? hehe

2. Wind. It blows sand in the faces of everyone. It makes the vows impossible to hear. It blows over your "altar" and all flower arrangements, archways and other ephemera quite easily.

3. Rain. I love seeing 150 people fleeing towards the hotel in the sand after underestimating the speed at which a rainstorm can descend upon the beach here.

4. 'Randoms' like dude in TFA. You are almost certainly on a public beach, or at best a private hotel beach with random other hotel guests. You and your guests are quite fun targets for mockery.

/Most residents of Florida don't opt for beach weddings.

This is why when we got married on the beach last year, we opted to have it in October (in the Bahamas, so it wasn't cold yet), and my groomsmen and I wore white Hawaiian shirts and khakis so that we wouldn't roast. :-)

Oh noes! Somebody call the waahmbulance!

Look, moron, your stupid "stolen valor" bullshiat isn't going to fly, no matter how many times it gets reworded. It's inherently a First Amendment violation, and it's going to keep getting struck down.

And that's a good thing.

The only things this guy did wrong were to be drunk in public, and to throw a beer can at somebody. It's his right to disrupt a wedding on a public beach if he wants, the wedding was disrupting his relaxation on the beach. And it's his right to claim to be a veteran, whether he was or not.
