Seems like he's learning to properly harness and direct his mutant power to destroy political life.

Repeat from the "if she runs, we're screwed" headlines yesterday?

2012-12-10 10:44:34 AM
She would be the second oldest president elected... Good thing women live longer.

2012-12-10 10:44:51 AM
I'm sure there's no ulterior motive here, just like Scott Brown and all those Republican Senators endorsing John Kerry for Secretary of Defense.

Is it Dupe Headline Day?

2012-12-10 10:49:47 AM
Yeah sure...he's "endorsing" her in the same vein as Fark libruls "endorse" Rick Santorum for the GOP nod in 2016.

Newt would be only too happy to have the DNC nominate a 'lightning rod' candidate.

Since this may be a duplicate headline which will be deleted, I think it would be a good thread to confess if you've killed somebody.

On another note,

Have you noticed the new ad markers in the words here on Fark? You scroll over a word to find an ad placed there.
That's a pretty stiff turn for the douche there Drew.

I've killed some headlines. I'll cop to that.

Can't say as I have. AdBlock for the win, my fine Farker.

OK.

How do you feel about my chances in the 2024 election? Can I count on your vote?

You have a virus or other malware. I see no such things and I don't have any form of ad block turned on.

They still want to use all the attacks they gathered to originally use against her back in 2008.

Here are my thoughts on "Hillary for President 2016":

1. She's much more popular now than in 2008. She's been a great Secretary of State.
2. She's pretty old, though.
3. She's has a "I'm retiring now for good get off my lawn" vibe about her the last year or so.

Net result of all of that is that she would win if she runs but I don't think she will run.

Not bad but I will hand you your ass on a platter during the primaries. Ya toad sucking, shiat eating, baby farking piece of trash...until you win the nomination then you turn into a pretty good guy, like Ronald Reagan 2.0.1.

You know that people were already talking about "President Obama" (whoever that is) a week after the 2004 DNC Keynote address?

This is how political reporting goes - 80% is handwringing about whatever "important" shiat is in the news RIGHT NOW (fiscal cliff, debt ceiling, the election's a squeaker of a horse race), 10% is "Whatever happened to X?" (Monica Lewinsky, the US' war in someplace called Eye-Rack), 5% is "Outlet X sucks and here's why" (for every outlet but Fox/MSNBC. For Fox, this is a full 50% of their stories [they ignore important 'issues of the day' in favor of WHAAAAAR and GAAAAARBL]; for MSNBC, it's 15% - the Ed/Lawrence shows, plus part of Maddow sometimes) and the other 5% is "Wild-ass predictions that will be forgotten by tomorrow's edition/post".

C'est la vie.

// and nothing of value was lost added

Geotpf: Here are my thoughts on "Hillary for President 2016":

1. She's much more popular now than in 2008. She's been a great Secretary of State.
This is not an easy job and if anyone and taking the job when many said she should have been VP, was a sign of pure class.

2. She's pretty old, though.
She is going to have 2 years to rest and that could make a big difference.

3. She's has a "I'm retiring now for good get off my lawn" vibe about her the last year or so.

Net result of all of that is that she would win if she runs but I don't think she will run.

She chose her words carefully when she said "I'm not running" She didn't say "I will not run". I'm guessing she will and the DNC election machine is so polished right now, they will make it much easier for any DNC candidate. Obama has found the winning formula and this could be an easy win for her. She deserves it but more importantly, the US deserves another non-GOP President.

It's a trap. The GOP had an entire arsenal waiting for Hillary in 2008, and were blind-sided when she didn't get the nomination. No GOP politician would publicly admit something like this if it were actually true.

Yes, because Newt has always been so right before...

What if the person was just an asshole who only wants to sell books and get attention. I think Newt is almost literally a professional asshole.

I waiting for the all-important Bill Kristol endorsement.
