That's good to know. He's an exciting young talent and it would be a shame if his knee blew up.

As a Ravens fan - glad hes ok. He's a fun kid to watch.

Also, we owe him for getting Cam fired. Thanks kid!

No better move than switching offensive systems 3 games before the playoffs.

Dude really needs to learn how to slide.

Also, it's funny that Baltimore fired their OC today after scoring 28 points yesterday just to watch the defense choke against a rookie backup QB. The Ravens are 9th in points scored and 11th in points allowed.

I used to be a QB like you until I took a Raven in the Knee.

/ For the record, I loathe the Skins, but I cannot help but like this guy. He's got class out the Wazoo.

At the time I thought he would be fine because all the serious ones I've seen were where a foot was locked to the ground not where the leg was swinging free.
became worried when they were dragging him to the sidelines though

My friend said basically he has the skill of Michael Vick and the intellect and attitude of someone who was raised in a functional family.

He is a smart smart QB who works hard at it. I'm indifferent to the fortunes of the Redskins but I like RG3.

I was shocked by him playing after that. Reminded me of when I tore my acl though, with how he went down a few minutes later.

Anyways, I'm glad for cousins. It's probably not going to work out for him and the skins. I hope he gets a shot on another team. The guy is a natural leader and can control an offense. His time at MSU is already missed.

Gotcha.

Hmm, if they let Kirk Cousins start the next game (not happening, thanks to playoff race), and the Broncos rested Manning with their spot clinched in Week 17, every QB drafted in the first six rounds would've gotten a start this year.

THIS!

The problem wasn't the O, it's the fact that their D rests on the health of an aging murderer Line Backer

Having a mediocre to decent game against a D that is actually pulling itself together (except for D. Hall) is not usually grounds for an OC getting shiat canned. Letting a rookie backup come in and throw a TD and then run the 2 point conversion, in the last minute of the game is good reason to look at how your D is being run though.

The Defense has sucked without Sizzle, Webb, and Ray, but Cam has been a horrible OC all season. Any Ravens fan who has watched the team every game can tell you that going for 15 yard shotgun passed on 3rd and 1 when Ray Rice is your back isn't the best coaching available.

Another thing for the game yesterday, how can you explain the offense running like we well oiled machine in the first half, but suddenly in the second half they aren't able to do anything? That was because the offense only came in with half a game plan and no adjustments. This isn't the first time this has happened to the Ravens this year. Either they are great in the first half and suck in the second half or great in the second, but stink in the first (except for the Houston game where they sucked the entire game).

Now the defense not being able to get teams off the field is understandable, but the offensive play calling can't be excused. The Ravens should be a 1 loss team at this point, not a four loss team.

So they should have beaten everyone but the Chargers?

Are we also ignoring their lucky wins over the Pats and Cowboys?

While I agree, and I was aghast at how the D crapped themselves on that drive, firing Cam isn't just because of this game. It's from several years of plain, predictable play calling. That our offense has succeeded despite him is awesome, but I don't know how often I've yelled at the tv when I see what ineffective play they're about to do that's going to turn into a 3 and out.

I understand firing him, because he is still Cam Cameron after all, but I don't get two things about it:
1. The timing
2. Replacing him with Jim Caldwell

1) Straw that broke the camel's back? I'm not sure either.
2) I know he didn't fare well as HC in Indy, but sometimes people aren't good at being HCs. See Jets under Rex Ryan.

I just hope he shakes up the play calling a bit, uses Ray Rice as much as he should, and gets the offense in rhythm.

Good to know. Hate to see anyone, young stars especially, get a crack to the knee. Just like that, their careers could be over.

After seeing his post-game interview, I like the kid's sense of humor. "I knew once I screamed -- like a man, of course -- that it wasn't ACL"

Ravens fans are frustrated by the inconsistent performances of Joe Flacco and the underutilization of Ray Rice. That is probably why Cameron was fired.

The defense has suffered some key injuries this year, so they are playing well, relatively.

Man, you sure do like to troll.

/It wasn't that you said Luck was a better prospect (anyone with eyeballs can see that they BOTH have tremendous potential, and either could be the best long-term), it was that your "reasons" for thinking Luck would be the better prospect were:

A. RGIII is an athlete, but Luck is smarter
b. Luck and RGIII play in different offences
III. Luck's dad was a QB also

//That and your inability to acknowledge that your opinion does not equal fact

GlobalStrategic MapleSyrup Reserve: What happened to Rex Grossman the Third?

He had the misfortune to be on a team with a better backup than him. Cousins played a lot in preseason (much more than RGIII), and looked very good.

So far he has sustained a concussion and near ACL tear in just his rookie year.

Has he learned nothing from Michael Vick?

Unabashed Browns fan here so I'm biased, but it's probably a good idea for RG3 to sit out vs. the Browns. We have a very fast, hard-hitting young defense. Could turn into a very long day for him if he isn't fully mobile.

The Browns probably should have won that Cowboys game, and haven't lost since then.

Redskins fans should be nervous regardless of whether or not RG3 is out.

The Browns have an infinitesimal chance of making the playoffs that hinges on them winning out against Washington, Denver and Pittsburgh. The Ravens have already taken out RGIII for us, maybe they wouldn't mind putting a hit out on Peyton this weekend.

Not concerned about making the playoffs this year. The Browns have built a solid young team that is on the way up. I'm more looking forward to the offseason when the new ownership fires Heckert, brings in Lombardi, and crushes the hopes and dreams of the fanbase once again.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't think we're going to pull out a playoff berth and, even if we did, we'd be throttled in the first round. I just happen to be of the opinion that it'd be hilarious if we came back from 0-5 to make the playoffs while also sweeping the Steelers.

Next year, though...

Nobody should be nervous in Washington. Nervous fans happen when your team is really really good and you should avoid being beat by teams you should beat. Washington is not quite there right now. Every game could go either way. All Washington can do is win their three remaining games and they still need some help after that.

He faster than Vick ever was (MV was not a college track star) and Vick grew up in a Neighborhood that wouldn't have been out of place on The Wire, whereas RGIII was lucky enough to have a military daddy who didn't see any reason that his son's freakish athletic abilities should mean that he was also allowed to let his brain atrophy. To sum up: Right genes, Right homelife, right College program= Decent Human Being witht he potential to be a superstar for a generation, IF he can stay healthy.
