Yeah, the original joke is "whale oil beef hooked" -- substituting "haul" for "oil" makes it slightly less... well, it still doesn't really make any sense (the "beef" is vital because of phonetics), but until a fishing vessel rams a cargo ship carrying whale meat, beef and crude oil, it's the best I can hope for.
