DssDevl: Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think that is from Escape From LA

Close it's from the directors cut of "Who's the Boss" from the unreleased 9th season.

Well, either that or from the Terry Gilliam directed "Brazil" from 1985 as someone else mentioned earlier.

/Love Kate Bush's treatment of the title track from that soundtrack.
//The Cugat is nice too.

Soymilk: criscodisco: GAT_00: Hey look at that, injecting a lethal poison into your body can have side effects. Huh, who knew.

It wasn't Botox or any other poison, but hey, read TFA and you'll see she's still a dumb biatch.

I went to see a derm about a scar on my face, and she suggested using a derma-filler to smooth it out. The idea of injecting some plasticky gel into my face, even under rx, even by a dr, skeeved me out enough for me to decide against it.

So now I live with a scar on my face. Happily as I age it's becoming less prominent so I don't think about it much now. Don't know if it makes me more or less vain, but at least I'm not ruined like these women are.

Soymilk, I believe that some facial scars add tremendous character, and can enhance one's own beauty in a unique, alluring way.

She could have Catchpole as is in the before pic. Now, not so much.

Look at the grotesque creatures celebrities have become in their attempts to look not old. Look at their resources. Now back at yours. Now at theirs again. If this doesn't lead you to draw some conclusions about what will most certainly happen to you then you probably deserve what comes next.

I'd much rather look like an old human than a new realdoll. Just sayin.

So if it's convenient the talking point is that public health care like the UK's is bad because you can't get the treatment you need.

ladyfortuna: Nice collection of semi-related cosmetic surgery stock photos. They really make the piece.

They seriously over-did the stock photos in that story, It was a bit ridiculous! At least show some more photos of the woman's ugly face so we can laugh!

The Daily Mail doesn't publish "stories", it publishes slide-shows. I suspect if they could find a way to make the internet in 3D, it would publish pop-up books.

This is an approach that is in direct proportion to it's "reader"-ship.

gadian: I honestly can't tell that much of a difference between the before and after. Though she is tired and makeup-less in the after. I'm going to be such an old lady when I become an old lady. I'm not going to do any of that crap. Well, that's not true. I'll look very much like the 40/50/70 yr old I am with facial wrinkles, a saggy tummy, and too much ankle skin, but my tits will be as high and firm as a school girl's.

This is what I never understood. Sure, your face may look better (if you're lucky) but then what about your 50 y-o neck, arms, legs & belly?

Ladies, seriously, just stop doing this to yourselves.

Must've missed that bit. But again, after you get past the part where she said to herself "yanno, I wanna fill the cracks in my face the same way you fill cracks in drywall- that seems like a great idea to me!" very little really surprises me much.

Smeggy Smurf: She wasn't bad for 41 in the first place. I've seen a lot of broads in their 20's that looked older

No kidding, and this is an Englishwoman at 41. She looked great in that first photo already.

Relatively Obscure: This picture helps me understand what was going on in the story. It also gave me my first mummy boner.

If there's one thing this article could really have used more of, it is stock photos. With only 8 loosely-related choices to ponder, how am I supposed to begin to understand what the story was about?

wambu: Amazing results after only ONE treatment!

So that "faces of meth" slideshow from which your pic pairing was taken doesn't mention it, but that woman seems to me to have suffered from a horrendous burn. Now, explosions are relatively common in DIY meth manufacturing, but her facial changes are not a result of doing drugs, but instead unplanned adventures in exothermic reactions.

Still, kids... skip the meth. Pot and mushrooms are the way to go, I'm told. I have no experience personally.

Yet on the same page there is an article going nuts about Whiteley who has obviously had far more filler injected than the poor "victim." The article says she didn't get a penny and didn't mention any actual treatment just tests. Here's a free diagnosis, you lost 35 pounds but you still have about 40 to go.

I'm so absolutely sick of big lips on actresses.

If they are natural, fine. But most of these women were perfectly beautiful, or simply cute as hell until they ruined themselves.

Hollywood hates women.

FTFA: hen, only a week before her £6,000 wedding ceremony, the vision in her right eye became blurred and she rushed to her GP. The doctor suggested it might subside by the time she had completed the course of antibiotics and steroids in five further days.

But nothing improved. 'My longed-for wedding day was overshadowed by the fact I was so ill,' she says. 'The night after, my sister had booked us into a hotel as a gift, but instead my husband had to take me to Chelmsford A&E because I couldn't see properly out of my right eye.'

No, you're a vapid twunt who decided to get plastic surgery 10 days before your wedding. Jesus, I have no sympathy for morons like this. Serves you right, dumbass.

SirHolo

In the US, if you break the skin, it's classified as surgery. That is, someone with MD certification is required to perform the procedure, and not just any old RN.

Even stitches?

-In the UK public health care is denied for self inflicted trauma. Doubt it.
-In the UK the only way you're going to be treated in an emergency is to shell out some cash. This is here is my bet.

Neither is true.

You know, there is beauty in aging naturally. I find a woman who accepts age with grace and maturity far more attractive than a woman who can't accept that her "best years" (from her perspective) are behind her.

If you think your best years are behind you hard enough, chances are it's the truth. That said, I'm not fond of any person who subjects me to their worst years on purpose.

I looked at the only "after" pic and could not see any problem, so whatever.

I get filler - in laugh lines and under my eyes. Before I got it, I looked tired even though I wasn't. Dark circles are hereditary for me and they were getting worse with age. If you don't abuse it by trying to change your God-given bone structure or get crazy big lips, it is just an enhancement - like hair dye or makeup.

Am I vain? Yup.
