gaspode: a 396 metre long ship is 51 times longer than a 'super-liner'?

am I the only one seeing a flaw in this statement?

The QM2 is 345 meters long, which is exactly 51 meters shorter than the largest container ship in the world.

FunkOut: It's too bad people in American won't make crap for $2 a day.

They will, and pretty soon. The upside to the fiscal cliff is that at least the sweatshop is in the shade after lunch.

Chances are there is very little Christmas merchandise on that ship or any container ship at this point. Retailers are past stocking up on Christmas items at this point and most of the goods due to become a Christmas gift are past that point in the supply chain. Right now retailers are stocking up on Valentines day goods and that's a big part of container traffic.

It's hard to believe a ship could carry so much lead without capsizing.

Odd to see a London registry. I thought ships were ordinarily registered in East Nowhereistan for legal reasons.
