I always thought "Fin du Monde" referred more to Quebec's geographical location than a time, especially given the label.

That said, it is an outstanding beer that you don't need an excuse to drink. I encourage everyone to try both Fin du Monde and Maudite from Unibroue.

It's a great beer that's been around for years. I kind of suspect the whole 2012 apocalypse thing was orchestrated by lazy journalists.
