...not classic rock, though, just classic prog guitar and early sound pastiches.

I guess I should have said:

Decent list, but you could swap Magical Mystery Tour for this.

velvet_fog: Sgt. Pepper's is pretty meh. There's some great stuff there, but half of the album is forgettable filler like Lovely Rita, When I'm Sixty-Four, Fixing a Hole, Within You Without You, Good Morning Good Morning (basically the entire 2nd side except for A Day in the Life). It's really good, but wouldn't even touch my top 50 albums of all time.

I disagree. Sgt. Pepper's is pure genius. One great song after another, and ends with the Beatle's best ever recorded song.

/guess I know what I'm gonna be listening to this afternoon!

Also Buffalo Springfield's "Expecting to Fly" is one of the most achingly gorgeous songs of the 60's.

Oh, list, you're so retarded...

FTFA, About the Stones album...

You won't find any of the band's classic songs on the Between The Buttons, but the non-album singles 'Let's Spend the Night Together' and 'Ruby Tuesday' came from the same sessions.

So... why the fark is the album on the list?

/liked The Monkees: Headquarters from '67, but that wouldn't fit on the list.. Neither would Smiley Smile, from The Beach Boys. And Porter Wagoner's Cold Hard Facts of Life was also released in '67.
