Well, I lucked out and picked McFadden over Reece Thursday night. Only one tough decision--
Jacquizz Rodgers or Michael Turner. PPR league so I'm leaning Rodgers over questionable Turner.
Also, I got Welker on MNF. I don't have another player in that game and Welker is questionable as usual. I dont really have anyone I want to drop with most of my bench being possible starters(or keepers) if I advance. Is there ANY reason to think Welker won't play?

I am 18-0 in my three leagues over the past six weeks. Clinched playoffs in all three, and I'm #1 overall in two. I'm playing for 3rd or 4th in my money league this week, and I can take a risk if necessary. Is there any reason whatsoever to believe that starting Flacco over Cam is a reasonable move?

It's not, Flacco has been awful on the road all year. On the road he has broken 300 yards once and hasn't thrown more then 1 TD in any road game. Cam has his legs and has been playing better.

I can't figure out which WR to start in the flex, Torrey Smith, Pierre Garcon, T.Y. Hilton or James Jones.

Halp?

1) I'd go with Garcon.
2) Smith is a decent option but Flacco has road woes and you're counting on the deep ball with Smith
3) Hilton is putting up good numbers but is #3 in targets on the colts and Avery played well last week
4) Jones is more of a backup to Jennings than a Nelson replacement. Also 0 targets last week.

/although my rationale has been good all year in these threads, my IRL predictions have sucked. YMMV

I'm thinking the same thing, but I know that no matter which one I play he will inevitably score the least amount of points while one of the other guys has a CAREER RECORD BREAKING GAME

So...Gotta pick three: Michael Crabtree, Wes Welker, Torrey Smith, or Mike Wallace.

Leaning towards Welker, Smith, and Wallace (Now that Ben is back) but Crabtree has been pretty good lately. Thoughts?

In that case go with Hilton as I need a good game out of Garcon in my league that I need to win this week. Considering Myers who is filling in for Gronk game me almost nothing,

I'm concerned...

Mostly because it appears Stevie Johnson is questionable and I can't find much info on whether he'll play or not. My only backup is James Jones (Cecil Shorts is out...). Thoughts? I'm thinking bank on Johnson.

I've stuck with the tried and true philosophy of starting ANYONE (except defense) against the Saints. Bennett.

I'm spoiled for choice on RB. Pick 2 from CJ1.3k, Bradshaw, Morris and S. Jackson. CJ and Bradshaw are currently in.

Pick the odd man out for my Flex

TY HIlton, Fred Jackson, or Steve Smith

Dwayne Bowe or Justin Blackmon, .5pt PPR league

Can someone give me some advice? which three ahould i pick? D'Angelo Williams, Reggie Bush, Pierre Thomas, Golden Tate.

I also have Stephens Howlingin case wells is out.

LucklessWonder: TE Question: Marcedes Lewis or Martellus Bennett or Dennis Pitta?

Martellus for sure. He's been good, Eli targets him quite a bit in the red zone, and I don't think that'll stop against NO.

Joe Flacco is hit or miss, so despite going up against the Redskins, I don't have as much confidence in Pitta, plus they can pretty much just give the ball to Ray Rice on every play. Not like they do anything different now.

The Jags are really tough to trust. Henne has a hot streak, so it might work out, but I think Cecil Shorts and Justin Blackmon will be the ones getting the most looks in the red zone. You could pretty much replace Marcedes with Davone Bess (I know he's a WR) and not notice any difference.

Need help! Win and I'm in the playoffs.... lose and I'm out. Start 3... Rice, Charles, Murray, Jackson or Ballard. Right now I have Rice and Charles starting with Jackson as my flex. I keep going back and forth though......

.... any thoughts?

Rice, Murray, Charles in that order. If you want Jackson, drop Charles.

I've been having to use Ballard for weeks and he's pretty mediocre. But there's a pretty high chance that he gets a TD today against us. Or that shutdown defense that we had against Miami shows back up, but there's little chance of that. Even then, I think your set is best as is.

So here's my question: Bradshaw or Morris?

2012-12-09 11:35:31 AM
In my 12 team, 2-division standard scoring Yahoo league I went from 1st (overall) to 12th to 1st (in division) then finally settling in the 5th overall seed at 7-6, clinching the playoffs week 12. I had the best overall draft and was projected to go 12-0. Our league's top seed auto-drafted and ended up almost exactly as projected (11-2, 1353 projected, 11-2, 1322 actual). She made only 4 moves during the regular season (I did 22).

The first week of playoffs started out well for me. In my RB2 spot I started Moreno and got 21 points (w/ 12 projected). I have a slight edge over my 4th seed opponent with our projected score 112-105. Here's the matchup:

Me (Vandelay Industries)
QB Andrew Luck
WR Julio Jones
WR Randall Cobb
RB Arian Foster
RB Knowshon Moreno
TE Jimmy Graham
W/R/T Demarco Murray
K Shayne Graham
D Browns

Opp (The Mighty Pucks)
QB Matt Stafford
WR T.Y. Hilton
WR Miles Austin
RB Adrian Peterson
RB Chris Johnson
TE Jason Witten
W/R/T Lance Moore
K Greg Zuerlein
D Bears

I can see this being a really close one. And a lot of "Yes, Luck TD pass! No, it was to Hilton!".

I still have a few choices to make: For flex I can do Sproles or Kyle Rudolph. With Harvin out, Rudolph will see a good amount of targets. Had a hard time trusting Sproles this year plus their backfield is super crowded. Suggestions?

Carolina doesn't even try to run the ball with their running backs, so don't start Williams. I would go with Bush, Thomas and Tate.

/I was so happy when I managed to handcuff Jon Stewart and D'Angelo Williams in the middle rounds of my draft.
//Waived both of them by mid-season and no-one else in my 10 player league has even bothered to pick either of them up as bench-bodies.

He's in D.C. That's hardly "the road" for Baltimore. There will probably be as much Purple in the stands as Red... excuse me Burgundy and Gold.

Of course that has nothing to do with Fantasy stats. The bigger problem would be how well the Offensive line plays.

I say go w/Ballard in the flex, but which Jackson?

LarryDan43: Flex help: DeAngelo Williams or Mikel Leshoure?

I like Leshoure.

Need some help as well. One league I am trying to decide between Mike Wallace home against SD, Mike Williams home against PHI, and Steve Smith (CAR) home against ATL for my open WR slot. In another league I am trying to decide between BAL @WAS or HOU @ NE for my Def.

Any and all advice appreciated.

Johnson will play I think. He hasnt missed a game in like 3 years and has played hurt most of that time. I benched him in favor of Josh Gordon for the matchup, but thought about it for a while.

That being said about Steve Johnson-- his matchup is not particularly good, but he can score a TD at any time.

Shorts is out which should give Blackmon more targets, but Cromartie will be shadowing him. Nicks is just about Eli's only redzone threat. I'd go with Nicks.

Mike Williams all the way. Phily's pass defense is atrocious.

Defense ... you seem to be screwed. Both Wash and NE should score more than 24 points, and neither team turns the ball over or gives up many sacks. Flip a coin and pray for a special teams TD.

I raided the wire a few weeks ago so no one could swap out to QBs with solid matchups in the playoffs. The downside is now I have Newton, Freeman, and Luck, which means I have to CHOOSE who to start. And this is the playoffs, so I have to win. Freeman and Luck both have ridiculous matchups this week versus Philly and Tennessee. And Newton is Newton, plus he dropped a 30 bomb on Atlanta last time they played, and is coming off of two more(versus Philly and KC).

I'd say Newton has the highest ceiling, but Atlanta is also the best defense of the three by a significant margin. Luck has been playing well recently, but didn't play as great versus Tennessee 6 weeks ago. And that game isn't as likely to be a shootout as the others unless CJ2K gets going, but Indy doesn't have much of a running game either so Luck may have volume.

I've got Doug Martin starting too, so if I go with Freeman, I'm basically banking on TB scoring at least 4 touchdowns versus Philly, and as it's almost guaranteed to be either Martin running or Freeman throwing them, I feel like that is the "safest" play, unless TB just craps all over the place to completely screw me or Philly learned how to play defense in the last week.

I was projected to win 120-100(with Newton), and I got 40 out of the Broncos game with only 35 projected(Denver D, Thomas, Moreno), so I'm in decent shape so far. Go with Freeman to hedge my bets? I was leaning Newton all week until last night.

As I was trying to find something to help me decide on the DEF question I stumbled across this:

"Defenses I hate in Week 14
Houston Texans D/ST: Banged up and facing Tom Brady on the road for "Monday Night Football"? Not a top-10 defense for me.

Baltimore Ravens D/ST: Also banged up, the big thing about Washington is it doesn't really turn the ball over that much and it's getting harder to sack RG3. The Redskins allow the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing defenses."

Thanks, Matthew Berry!

Off to a roaring start this week with Brandon Myers giving me a big 1 point (PPR league) after being consistently good for 10-ish or more before his monster game last week. At least this is a two-week playoff matchup for me.

Carolina's running game is incredibly schizophrenic this year, and in the last four games DeAngelo has a combined 130 yards from scrimmage and zero TDs.

Tied for the last playoff spot... I'm playing the #2 team... the guy I'm tied w/ is playing a dead team starting both Vick and MJD.... my points will get me the tiebreaker for playoffs if I win this week...

so who looks better, Colston or Crabtree? gunshy w/ Crabtree due to he never performs if I have hmi starting...

20 points for Peterson in the first 6 minutes of gametime. At least that hurt his own Bears D! That Browns kickoff return sure helped me. Stupid Chiefs.

I don't know where that karma came from that took the TD catch away from my opponent's Austin and let Murray run it in for me.

It's almost as if AJ Green knows I traded for him two weeks ago and insists on giving me all his worst performances that he's saved up.

God. I snuck into our playoffs thanks to Bryce Brown, whom I picked up two weeks ago on a lark, so I could make a joke about owning "Wichita's Own Bryce Brown". Then all of the sudden he's 1984 Eric Dickerson and I'm in the playoffs.

Him and Fred Jackson today are KILLING me.
