Quantumbunny: Darke: The oxford comma. This drives me nuts.

/I do it.

Me too. Can't figure out if the people in charge of journalistic style are idiots, or deliberately trying to ruin the English language. Between writing for a 6th grade reading level, "after the jump" shenanigans, lack of Oxford comma (and other comma failure), misuse of words like irony, lack of editing, and laundry list of other English abominations, I'm nearly convinced it's a purposeful, systematic attack on our language.

Because People in power are Stupid: Young people also more likely to be liberuls.

[www.briangordon.ca image 340x250]

Something you don't realize is the guy in that photo wrote that on purpose. He was posing as an idiot to make his enemies look bad. And you fell for it. So... maybe u is a moarn? in fact in most cases where people go to protest and they have misspelled signs... they are likely imposters. The republicans dress up like democrats and do this. The democracts dress up like republicans and do this. And both republicans and democrats do this to the tea party. It's a set up to keep you beleiving that everyone in that party is just plain stupid. But the reality is they are fakers. Liars. Hoaxsters. Provocateurs. Sorry I called you a 'maybe' moarn.  PROOF: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20044674-503544.html

Now call me liar... u fakers. WISE UP PEOPLE THE DEMS AND RPS ARE BOTH LIARS AND CORRUPT AND WANT YOU TO BE DUMB AND THEIR SLAVES. :) enjoy life.

Improper use of grammar and misspelled words are not indicators of low intelligence.

However, they are indicative of people who are terrible in bed.

Of course the younger ones are more likely to judge spelling and grammer. They have not yet experienced years of berating and name-calling resulting from caring about sentence structure, spelling, and at least a modicum of intelligence.

Give them a few years and they'll be forced to degrade to our low level of idiocy.

Join us.

We all float down here.

The one that makes me cringe is "with regards to" rather than "in regard to." As in "With regards to the accused serial killer..."

Apparently, younger internet users are also more likely to react to poor punctuation before reading the entire sentence.

For all intensive purposes, you should of added a few commas to be shore.
