(Fark)   Just in time for Caturday: Farker knows two 5-year-old kitty brothers in Seattle who are looking for a new home. Would consider relocating as far south as Portland if catnip is involved. LGN DIT   (fark.com) divider line 7

Here's the basic facts:

House one had two older cats. House two had two younger cats - brothers. Younger cats moved into house one due to an owner s/o allergy. Problems ensued.

Despite months of trying to integrate them all (slow introductions, cat psychologists, co-feeding, click training, supervised visits, etc.), the two pairs just don't get along when they're all mixed - lots of stress, hissing, and scuffling. Separated, they're wonderful and absolutely fine. They just don't all want to live together, and no one wants to live in a divided house.

Hence, the two younger cats are now in search of a new home in the SEA area (and environs, possibly as far as Portland depending on the specifics). They'd love to visit first to see if they might be a good fit, and if they did move in they'd bring a whole bunch of swag with them.

They're five-year-old brothers, American mutts, current on all shots and vet visits, who love to play and sit on laps. They don't get along with other cats but they'd be great with kids and might tolerate a dog (they've never met one so it's hard to say). They don't want to end up Christmas pets who get abandoned in February, so their current owners are going to make sure they end up in the right place.

They are beautiful cats. I wish I could help, but I live on the opposite side of the country. Good luck with finding a new home for them.

I don't have anything in the way of practical advice, but I wish you the very best of luck in finding a good home for those mammajammas.

So sorry to see such well-loved kitties given up.

Wish I could help, but I'm on the other coast.

Wish I could help. I'm in Chicago and just took in an unexpected third kitty who got hit by a car in front of my building. (He's gonna be okay!) Wishing you luck in finding them a home though!
