CavalierEternal: it's the rivalry to end all rivalries

Ohio State and Michigan played two weeks ago.

One rivalry hasnt meant anything in 20 years and the other 50 years, decide for yourselves.

hackhix: there are 5 games today subby

So there is one game today, the rest are the junior high school team playing.

Saddest saturday in a long time, soon to be replaced by depression on saturday mornings when you wake up and realize there are no games......

On the one hand, that was painful to watch. Even a four-star was comforting him.

On the other, it was a fumble. No one died, and within a year, he's going to be dealing with shiat a lot more serious than a turnover.

All true. I mean, it touched everyone, even the CBS announcers.

I do think it was a bit disrespectful to keep showing him over and over after a while, though. We got it. He was crushed, we don't have to subject him to being on national TV the entire time he was going through those raw emotions. I'm okay with them capturing the shots on the sideline, when the general was comforting him, when his coach was comforting him, when Navy's coach was comforting him and all of that, but two dozen cuts to him throughout the whole ordeal was a little much in my opinion.

Read John Feinstein's book on Army-Navy if you haven't done so. I started it again last Sunday and nearly made my way through it again.

All of those people never having beaten their betters then you go and root for Army. HAHAHAHHAHAHA

hackhix: 18:00 Illinois State vs Eastern Washington

The only game that REALLY matters.

/and our idiot KR pulls a DeSean Jackson and drops the ball at the 1 yard line after dusting everyone...and we don't get the TD from the 1

2012-12-08 08:37:39 PM
Well, good, at least Illinois St. only got 3 points out of the "defense stops them on 4th down, offense gives them the ball right back on the first play with a fumble; defense stops them on 3rd down but is called for roughing the passer; defense stops them again on a 3 and out but lose their top CB" series.

/and now another player probably has a concussion

2012-12-08 08:51:41 PM
ANNNNDDDD the offense suddenly can't gain a single yard, and the defense is now getting killed.

2012-12-08 08:52:46 PM

cman: Pfft, the Navy, the laughingstock of the US Military.

You "sailors" make me sick.

Why dont you do something noble and act more like Marines? At least they have courage, you cowardly ship lovers

Seaman, you make me laugh.

2012-12-08 09:04:38 PM
Well, I'm glad Brandon Kaufman is on our side.

38-17 lead turns into a 38-35 lead and the opposing team has just forced us into 3rd-and-9? How about going up over a defender, taking the ball away, shedding the tackle, and outrunning the safety for a 76-yard TD? That cool?

/yeah, that'll work
//then the kicker misses the XP
