These posters reinforce the notion that Polish movie posters are AWESOMELY WEIRD AND WEIRDLY AWESOME.

For some odd reason, I love it that the poster for The Big Lebowski features that one guy shouting "I JUST BOUGHT THAT CAR!" It's just so surrealistically hilarious.

Ficoce: rogue_L_chick: Every so often, Fark gives me a great idea for a gift for someone...but this year, it just took care of the entire list. I am really hoping that Polish move posters aren't too awful expensive or hard to find - if not, everyone I love is getting one.

Thanks you. Buying now...already doing the Blade Runner and Jaws (for BF and kiddo) for sure...really torn on the one for my brother...it's either the Airplane 2, or Howard the Duck. I can't wait to see the collective WTF on their faces.

Man, this is going to be the best Christmas ever!

Toshiro Mifune's Letter Opener: loonatic112358: I'm surprised you don't have any

Hah!

Now that you mention it, I'm rather surprised at that, too!

Don't Tongue the Reaper!: There's a documentary called "Freedom on the Fence" about how the poster artists would evade censorship in the Soviet era. The posters are highly collectible, but you could probably find some more recent ones for a decent price. I love them.

Good deal... thanks for the head's up!

Somebody should really put out a coffee table book with reproductions of all of these. That way I wouldn't have to choose which ones to buy and put on my wall.

/I want all of them
