(Guardian)   It's the Manchester derby on Sunday with SAF vs Mancini, Red vs Blue, Old vs New money, a potential title decider before Christmas. Will this be another 6-1? Oh and some other EPL games on Saturday   (guardian.co.uk) divider line 270

I've seen this game before. Yaya Toure pisses all over everyone from a whopping great height.

Taking a few risks in the Fitba League today. Some difficult games to call, with the Manchester Derby being near the top of that list. A blowout on either side wouldn't really surprise me. Both sides have dangerous scoring threats, both sides have defensive weaknesses, both sides have injuries to key players.

No early game today

Lindegaard got injured at the end of January last season and De Gea played for the rest of the season. Apart from that (i.e. in the first 34 games of last season and the first 23 games of this season), the longest run either keeper has had is five games.

Also in 23 games this season, United lost six games by one goal and won 12 games by one goal, but haven't drawn one.

I really, really, really agree with Michael Cox: Mediocre Manchesters. "For a clash between the top two, the lack of identity, cohesion, framework and strategy from City and United is incredible."

I really, really, really agree with Sir Bobby Charlton: Jose Mourinho would not suit Manchester United. "Mourinho is a really good coach but that's as far as I would go really."

Instead of the derby, SAF and Mancini should hold a debate, audience-question style like in the US presidential election, Barclays Mind Games. Except since it's England I imagine it would be more like Prime Ministers question time with much sassier inquiries. At some point Fergie takes out one of his three flasks (made from the bones of referees whom he killed and ate) and, finding empty, promptly brains Bobby M with it. 3 points to United.

Oh and Joe Hart can be a shirtless ring girl.

Aw, Kevin "Zinedine" Kilbane has retired. From 1999-2011, he played in 66 consecutive competitive internationals. Not bad for a deeply average winger and ever more average left-back.

I'm going to miss nearly all of today's Arsenal match. It makes me sad but sometimes they're hazardous to my health, particularly when they drive me to drink before the sun is up. So I'll consider this morning's previous engagement as a sign from on high that today will be a bloodbath.

in the meantime, here was a fascinating article in Grantland on Arsene Wenger's decline:  http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8712871/arsenal-arsene-wenger-dec l ine

Insurance chip. Never banker chip, always the insurance chip. Anything else is playing with fire.

I have no idea who to watch this morning, all the teams I enjoy watching are playing tomorrow. I'll just turn on whichever game has the first goal.

I've learned my lesson. Last week I noticed it was possible to put the Banker and Insurance chip on the same match...that's quite helpful. Can't think of any this week that are sure things, but hate to just leave it...

Lol Gervinho. 4 guys in the box? I'll just meander into the middle instead of crossing in and promptly lose possession.

2012-12-08 10:12:41 AM
Torres scores with a toe poke out of the air. Sunderland are going to lose 5-0 the way this game has been going.

Bit of a dive there by santi.

That should not have been called.

Former Liverpool, Leeds and England striker Robbie Fowler on Final Score:
"It was not a penalty, Reid definitely did not touch Cazorla. There has been a lot of talk about diving, and I think Cazorla might be getting a call from the Football Association.

"He made a meal out of it."

In other news, Sunderland are back into it against Chelsea and have had a couple of good attempts on goal.

Glad I picked Norwich to win, looks like they are solid against Swansea.

The end is nigh. Torres with two goals

Torres scores a PK after Sunderland gives up a really, really stupid penalty. Luiz also dove, but wasn't carded and Mata should have been carded earlier as well.

I'm switching to the Norwich game for the second half.

Astonishing comeback by Swansea on the cards - 4-3 final.

Cough.

I'm sorry, it will be a valiant comeback, but they won't get the full three points, it will be a 3-3 draw.

It is important to remember that winning or losing the league is about our relative level of incompetence, rather than our absolute level of incompetence.

FFPL report to follow.

Week 15 FFPL Report

After the conniptions of the double ration last week, this week saw some calm return.

I sidled back into first. Cognitive_Displaysia and I now both 1000+, a threshold that could be breached by two more players this weekend.

At the bottom, Sweeper of Death mitchcumstein1 moved up several places, but a wave of my imperious league managing hand saw those four zombie players cast into oblivion.
ADubs86 moved up four, but the best score of the week saw DesertGeek move up 6. DesertGeek posted the only three-figure hall of the week.

On the slide Nathanjr and The_Envoy slipped two and three slots respectively, but a sore -60 led to 689908 dropping down 6.
Meadian player is now Hawaiie in 22nd. Page 1/2 unchanged other than DesertGeek's rise and the zombie massacre.
Toon player continue their domination of the BB club - nobiology current president. A winnowing of BB club membership expected this week - thanks to Swansea.

Sunderland to sack their manager this weekend?

I put my banker on WBA 2-1. I don't know why.

I really have no idea what I'm doing with my predictions.

Anyone here from Canada? My stream is from Sportsnet where they apparently have 3 different games on their channels. Pretty damn good.
