So....it's morally worse to break a dog's leg than to grope-without-permission human females?

Is this what a few of you are telling me?

Violence versus inappropriate touching is a tough comparison.

Authorities say the boy was awaiting his juvenile trail on the groping charges at the church when he took his mother's minivan and drove up to the Moulin Brew coffee in Yakima, where he crawled through the window and began groping the lone barista on duty.

That is a lot to go through for a grope. This kid is a short way away from graduating to rape.

Groping might be an inappropriate expression of an appropriate sexual response, depending on the boy's age and the type of contact. Deliberately breaking an animal's leg indicates a lack of empathy and a pleasure in causing pain that is never appropriate regardless of the age of the individual. The two together are pretty ominous; this kid is probably unsalvageable at this point and headed for a career in prison.

I think the idea is that a grope (while bad) is not necessarily the sign of evil, but torturing a smaller animal is.

Society is lucky if that kid ends up in prison. But sociopaths are underrepresented in prison as compared to the public population. Most sociopaths avoid the consequences of their actions. They just hurt people, and get away with it. Forever.

No. Obviously, they should let the unwelcome gropings of a disturbed 14 year old boy color every facet of their lives from this day forward. This is the most defining moment in their lives.

It might be if the kid grows up to be the next Ted Bundy. "Hey, Stephanie, remember that time lil Teddy Bundy grabbed your hoohah at Starbucks?"

I'm not sure I'd go as far as sociopath, but antisocial personality disorder would be the first thing I'd think of (or depending on the reasons for their actions, maybe sadistic personality disorder as well?)

Headine of the Year has a main page category.  We're currently on Round 1 of that, with voting until we get down to 5 finalists.  Then there will be voting on the sub-tabs...politics, entertainment, sports, geek.

How could the woman have been in both a Catholic church and a scantily clad barista? Was the barista in the church and she was in the barista?
