Should have seen the guy on the 30 for 30 piece about pro athletes blowing their money. His "suit" was soaking of sweat. I'm sure he wrung it out into a glass with some ice and soda after they were done filming.

This; of all the sob stories of riches to rags his was actually the strangest. Usually home boys carry the rag on the shoulder, I guess Bernie needed one as well.

Fair enough.

I've heard the interview & he was bombed. But then again, I'd stay drunk and/or medicated 24/7 if my daughter made the same career decision his did. Fapping Farkers who aren't aware should do a GIS for Lexxi Silver. Very, very NSFW.

Hey I have to keep the memory alive, it's the last time the Browns won!

He played in an era where anything was fair play on quarterbacks. Hitting after the throw, blows to the head, chest, knees were all fair game back then. Add to the fact he was the most immobile quarterback to play the position and you have a recipe for what he is today.

His knees are completely shot and has been known to have to use a cane, hes bankrupt, and he speaks like he is punch drunk. It's his normal speaking voice, sadly

//Kosar would always find a way to beat us back then and I hated him so much for it. Today I appreciate the talent he had as a football player and wish he could have gotten Cleveland a championship 20 or so years ago (1985-1990?)
///that city has been through so much crap and deserves a championship soon

It seems these days you either get sharp & focused Bernie or...that guy from the radio.

Whatever the cause, it's just sad.

Seems like this comes up every August, when he does color on the Browns preseason game telecasts. Always one or two 'WTF' moments from him each time.

With the philosophy of the Indians, telling their fans "meh, we're a small market team, so we are what we are" and the Cavs and Browns rebuilding, it's going to be a long time until they even come close.

So you're saying he's either drunk or he's not? That's just crazy, bro, even for fark.

Hillis is a biatch. Cleveland wanted to love him. Look at the press the guy got, it was frigging fawning. He handled his attempted contract negotiation about as badly as anyone could and blew his shot there.

This. He's not drunk, he's just absolutely broken. Every time he's in public like this (or does a radio interview on LeBatard's radio show) LeBatard has to explain this to people who accuse him of being drunk

The why (unless I read the article wrong) would this station give him a standing weekly spot?

Given that Hillis has been terrible this year, I don't think he'd have been owning much of anything. Worked out pretty well for the Browns, I think. At least, until Trent Richardson explodes or something.

That was my understanding as well. Ive heard some of those lebatard interviews and I think its the head trauma more than booze that makes him sound like that.
