It sucks that Hyde Park is in such limited release this weekend. I really want to go see it.

It was mildly amusing...it's Bill Murray, so you can usually expect a little outrageousness.

Then he sits in the chair, trying to catch his breath. Took a sip of my tea...

Murray: "It's nice to be back."

Me: "Hello, IT? Got a spare laptop I can borrow until my keyboard dries out?"

Bill Murray made Superstorm Sandy miss my house.

With all due repsect to the god that Bill Murray is, Hunter S. Thompson's entrance on Conan's old show was better, in large part because it was unscripted and Hunter was also a god among men.

What, no love for what happened when Colbert went to interview ‶Bilbo Baggins" on Wednesday night, after having interviewed ‶Gandalf" on Monday? :-)

Old news, if we're discussing his level of awesome.

He wrote his awesomeness in stone decades ago. For instance, during Sigourney Weaver's audition for Ghostbusters he tried his best to intimidate her with a gargantuan dildo.

Oh, and the ad-libbed scene in Caddyshack with him using a golf club on the flowers. "It's a Cinderella story..."

Pure. Unadulterated. Awesomeness.

Pure awesome and hilarious. He just owns the whole spot. Decades of confidence building and not giving a f*ckness I suppose.

Man he isn't really aging. Dye his hair, shave the beard, and he'd still look like early 90's Bill.

ONly someone like Murray can pull this off. For anyone else to try this would be a know know.

Once upon a time, I thought Chevy Chase was awesome. He was the adult every boy wanted to be in Caddyshack. I began to hear rumors of what a dick he was, but paid them no heed. Then, I saw him on an episode of Politically Incorrect and he showed his true colors. If I remember correctly, thyey were having the usual debate, Chase threw a tantrum, and stormed off the set. After that, I began hearing more and more about his off screen persona and that colored my perception of him. Now, I realize that he was always a jerk, even back on SNL.

I remember reading once that he doesn't have an agent and if you want to offer him a part you have to call him and leave him a message and since he doesn't always check the machine regularly he has lost out on parts because he didn't get the message in time...I don't even know what to make of that.

His chops and beard make him look like a colonel in the confederate army. Which is ok, because he's Bill Murray

It's interesting that there was a point in his career where it looked like it was over (around the time of "Razor's Edge"). Glad he came back.

Hey, it was the only copy I could find.

You've got to respect a guy who can produce the literature he did and then walk onto a talk show blasted drunk and spend his whole interview just saying farkall. I tip my hat to the man.

Every time Road House is on and he or one of his idiot brothers are watching TV - and they're always watching TV - one of them calls my husband and says [In a reasonable approximation of Carl Spackler], "Kelly's having sex with Patrick Swayze right now. They're doing it. He's throwing her against the rocks." [Away from the receiver.] What? Oh, my God. Mitch was just walking out the door to the set, and he said that Bill once called him from Russia.

This is why Bill Murray is a god.

No. I'm sure the fact that he has a movie coming out has nothing to do with it.

Don't be snide. Letterman has people on sometimes just because he likes them and they agree to come.

"Where the Buffalo Roam" was an embarrassment to everybody involved, except Bill Murray, who nailed Thompson's character.

Radak: With all due repsect to the god that Bill Murray is, Hunter S. Thompson's entrance on Conan's old show was better, in large part because it was unscripted and Hunter was also a god among men.

At the end of that interview Thompson, a little upset, I think, that they spent the whole interview talking about firearms and Johnny Depp and never got around to discussing politics or his book, says that Conan is a prime example of a victim of the "kingdom of fear." Accurate and prophetic.

What is with that strange audience? Monotone clapping and monotone cheering. It was a funny bit, but it's too bad Letterman's studio is apparently filled with pod people.
