The Navy has a version of the Blackhawk called the Sea Hawk, which comes in numerous variants. The Coast Guard also uses one of the Sea Hawk variants. I don't know of any that are actually designated as Marine Corps aircraft (the way that some F-18 units are), but there may be some.

Interesting enough, seems like an extension of the Firescout program, but I don't see why you would want to automate a manned platform. One of the big advantages of unmanned vehicles is that they can be made smaller and more packed full of sensors/weaponry since they don't have to worry about all those pesky creature comforts. Something like this would require all the standard human safety factors compounded with additional failsafes reflecting the fact that you no longer have a pilot physically in the cockpit. Interesting proof of technology, but I don't think it will get very far.

It's the little differences between the services that the individual service members take pride in. You'll often see service members that have gotten out still use some of the common phrases like Hooah, and Hoorah and other former service members notice and recognize those phrases and will often strike up a conversation.

Also, those phrases are used as much more than a general cheer. They're often a catch all phrase when asked a question and the phrase is used as a reply, usually affirming that you understand and will comply. Other times it's used as a motivational phrase.

Actually had to look up WLC, I didn't realize they'd changed the names of the NCO schools. The cadre I had at PLDC in Graf were sticklers and had fits if you didn't enunciate Sergeant properly.

/now that you mentioned it I do remember Hooah beeing used a lot at PLDC.

I wonder how long it will take USAir to pick up on this technology?

The first one was pretty bad. Because of that, I didn't buy Black Ops 2. I'm just going by what the commercial told me.

Outside of the original Modern Warfare all the non-historical based CoD games have had dogshiat plots.

Especially MW2 and MW3. They went off the rails straight to crazy town. Though Black Ops' plot may be the apex of stupidity.

Actually, I'm not sure it wouldn't be useful anyway.

Think about a normal Blackhawk having an autopilot like this. It could do everything a regular Blackhawk could do, but also in a an emergency you could send it somewhere by itself, you could send it to park itself in an inaccessible or sheltered place while you're busy and come when called, a novice could make use of it in an emergency, etc. etc.... It would expand the utility of the machine. If it's a matter of squeezing one more PC in some nook or cranny then I could see it at least being an attractive new feature for new helicopters.

No shiat, dude. But what's the point of arguing the relevance of "Ooh-rah" vs. "Hoo-ah"? Nothing, except a bunch of old Marines and soldiers blowing off steam. And subby put "ooh-rah" in his tagline, so if anything, you should be complaining to him. Since I won't, I'll just complain to you. :)
