This, more than figuratively, doesn't pass the smell test.

The bleach smell from enough in a drink to actually make you sick would be overwhelming.

Either another chemical is being called bleach, or the roommate is dumb enough that I'm not really feeling sympathetic.

Ice tea what you did there

Subby, you glorious nerdy basterd

I call shenanigans, as mentioned by Thingster, the bleach would smell up the drink something fierce, either "derp, out got sick so she maybe poisoned me" or some other substance

/I vote the former, roomies get crazy dumb and pull assumptions out of their ass

Bleach is healthy. It's mostly water. And we are mostly water. Therefore, we are bleach.

Per the school paper, it was "sprayed" into the drink. That makes me believe it was a very small amount, like spritzing a spray cleaner that contained bleach into the drink.

Yes, commonly used as a way to purify water. Very dilute, though.

I hate people who just leave a pile of dishes in the sink all of the time.

My girlfriend has a tenancy to do that.

I wish I still lived alone.

And that makes it that much more likely this is just biatches instead of an actual poisoning case (or poor reporting using bleach to refer to something other than sodium/calcium hypochlorite).

You can drink some pretty obviously bleached water with no I'll effects, think about swimming pool water.

Meh. it was intent to poison as she flubbed it by using bleach which is not poisoness.Although the general public believes it is. It will turn your poop into milkshake for a few days if you don't gag over the taste.

worked for clorox for 10 years, I thought it was deadly going in as well. Saw someone drink a shot glass full of the stuff once.

Apparently repeated "less-than" symbols end your post. Rightfully so, perhaps. To re-word:

Tea bleach sucks way more than eye bleach.
