With as much shiat as Michael Bolton gets, I give him a pass since he made that video with The Lonely Island. Anyone that can not take themselves that seriously gets some respect despite what they might otherwise have a reputation for.

hey guys what's going on in this thread?

Dude was a hell of a softball player. That was pretty well known when he was actually popular. (Yes, there was a time, kiddies.)

Not sure why we should laugh at him for that. He made music that sold well in its moment but didn't hold up well over time. I'm sure he hangs out with Rick Astley and they lament it together. But dude actually did play good softball and maybe could have even been a decent baseball player if he didn't have to go on tour all the time. It's a lot easier to set up softball games than baseball games. I don't think that's all that uncool.

The only thing I can say about this is, "Holy knee brace design, Batman." Who has a knee brace that exactly matches their pants?

As a baseball player, softball is for one of two people; people who want to play a sport drunk, or people who suck at baseball, but want to play it anyways.

He used to play charity games in Appleton, Wisconsin against George Teague of the Green Bay Packers. I actually saw them as a small child. To my recollection, Bolton won

or people who don't trust amateurs who used to pitch in high school and can still throw 80+ to get it over the plate.

Eh, it's like riding a bike; you never really forget how to do it. There's a guy on our opposing team who hadn't pitched since high school, but he's still effective enough to be one of our opposing starters.

Came to say this, and he actually arranged his tours around big tournaments back in the day.
