Summoner101: Who?

He made something neat, cute, and enjoyable. A lot of people enjoyed it so you probably wouldn't.

Serious question: How can he use copyrighted music without it getting pulled? Or is he actually paying to use those songs?

I've uploaded 3 things to YouTube using music and the soundtracks had been pulled within MINUTES of uploading.

How does this work?

While uploading, hold down your "cntrl" key as you enter B A B Y X X backspace. Enter the password "donttazemebro" in the window prompt.

Not all music is automatically blocked. A large catalog (mostly older stuff, but some current) is available under fair use and/or Youtube has acquired licensing to allow that song to stay in your video as long as they properly cite the owner (those links you see under a video with the artist/title and recording label). Youtube will identify the song and determine if it's allowed or not. I've uploaded a few videos with music, but most were allowed. One video had music that was only allowed in the US, so (I'm assuming) foreign viewers don't get any audio when watching it.

I uploaded a video using the theme song to The High and the Mighty, a 1954 John Wayne movie. But within one minute, it was taken down.

So weird.
