That's enough, Seth MacFarlane.

Richard Pryor isn't around to help write it. How's Mel Brooks hanging in there?

Ted turned out to be surprisingly funny.

This fella is more over saturating himself to the public than commercials for boner pills.

I used to watch Family Guy all the time, on purpose, but now, Jesus H, FG is on 39 times a day. Can't channel surf without one of Seth's monsters rearing it's ugly face.

Dunno, somehow hearing it's a Blazing Saddles inspired comedy induces dread.

But if they said he wanted to make a genuine Western, that could be interesting.

Mornin', ma'am. And isn't it a lovely mornin' for a remake?

Up yours, MacFarlane .

Okay, all the people in here hating on Seth and Family Guy? Those are opinions. They're valid. I don't completely agree, but I can understand their viewpoint. You, however, are simply wrong.

Right on. Blazing Saddles is unequivocally one of the funniest films ever made. Every single line is brilliant. Rather than quoting any lines I say people should just go and watch it.

Anyone who hasn't seen it should go and watch it. That's your homework. You can take the day off work, tell the boss I said it was ok.

A few lines will go over the heads of people under the age of 50 or so. (Who the hell is Randolph Scott?) But you are more or less correct.

Speaking of Blazing Saddles, I recently watched an old 1950s movie with Marlene Dietrich. I knew beforehand that Madeline Kahn based her character on Dietrich, but I hadn't realized how close to reality the impersonation was. It was hard to keep a straight face listening to her speak, because I kept hearing in my head, "It's twue! It's twue, it's twue!"

IIRC, Kahn based her performance off of Deitrich's character in the 1939 James Stewart film "Destry Rides Again."

Think, completely random inanity passed off as humor, along with several instances of the characters moralizing directly into the camera about censorship and parenting.

I was working one day and was talking to an older co-worker, and something came up were I responded "Go back and get a shiatload of dimes!" and we both laughed.

Another employee was listening and had this confused look on his face. He has apparently never seen Blazing Saddles. Please note, I am only 31, so the movie came out before my time, but my parents had a copy on VHS and let me watch it when I was 11 or 12.

I felt kind of sorry for him. He is only 4 years younger then me.

The term is "romantic female lead".

Obviously, they're thinking of Summer Glau.

I'm 29 and I feel bad for him. My dad ensured that I had the movie memorized by the time I was 10. And it keeps getting funnier.

I'm 27 and I agree. It's one of those rare movies where you watch it and it's grade A funny, only to find out as you age that there are layers that you didn't understand when you were younger which make it even funnier.

Out of all of the McFarlane shows, American Dad still makes me laugh out loud. FG is just trying way to hard and same with The Cleveland Show.

I feel the same. I have AD set to record, and will actively watch it, while FG I will watch if its on, and then usually is background noise.

Last weeks (I think it was last weeks) episode of American Dad though, the air guitar at the end went on far too long though.
