Oh for Heaven's sake--my nephews whine less when you take away their video games for a week. Pull yourself up by those bootstraps y'all are so fond of nattering on about and grow the fark up.

You don't really mean you'll raise the rent on Obama supporters, do you?

Unless he sees an Obama sticker on his tenant's car or an Obama sign in the apartment window, how is he going to know who voted for which candidate?

That isn't for white people. Only the poors.

Of course they voted for Obama. If they owned their own property, they'd have seen the light.

There may be protections for businesses that fire employees who voted Obama or that don't serve Obama voters and stuff but I'm pretty sure evicting someone because of a political disagreement is going to get you in actual legal trouble.

/IANAL which I'm sure was evident from my fluent legalese

Evictions are based on nonpayment of rent or breach of lease.

This is simply a petulant child.

the Obama-administration's continued assault on small business is resulting in increased taxes, regulations and mandates

Is his other job investment banking or something?

Forced vaginal exams, silly dustman, that's how.

So I guess having competent management, a solid business plan, hiring good people and paying them well to do their job is just out of the question. Good to know

That's all kinds of illegal, right? Housing discrimination. So why would you not openly proclaim that you voted for Obama and then proceed to sue the fark out of him.

I'd imagine that many, if not most of the people who live in this asshat's properties are in tenuous housing situations, and don't have a lawyer on retainer. Even assuming that you could find an Internet Lawyer to take the case pro bono or on contingency, it still puts you in a precarious position.

Then he added, "BTW: If you voted "Democrat" on Nov. 6, please notify me ASAP so I can raise your rent first to help pay for what you asked for."

It's always difficult to tell, but I think this was an attempt by a "conservative" at snark or humor.

It's whiny, childish, petulant and bullying, which makes it a lot like the "jokes" such people make.

So I wonder what would happen, hypotheticqlly speaking of course, if anonymous banded together to flood his mailbox with tubes of Preparation H?

Thats all hypothetical of course. In no way would I condone such an action.

After reading the article, this guy just sounds like a giant troll. Responding in this manner only feeds the troll. Please don't feed the trolls.

Yeah, someone who would be, I think, breaking the law if they carried this out is just a troll and we shouldn't pay attention to them.

There is also the whole pesky matter of how he could possibly legally know without the bumper stickers, window signs or a "Hope & Change" tee shirt parade...

What has Obama done since being reelected that caused this man to immediately truncate his office and maintenance hours? If "taxes" and "regulations" are the problem, why wouldn't he keep operating at full capacity until a law actually passes?

This guy is a farking child, plain and simple. He's the sort of terrified rube that makes 'conservative' media so lucrative.

hey it's not all Christo-libertarian-fascists over here on the Front Range. having said that, I never put lib-lib-libs bumper stickers on my car for fear of getting keyed. I know somebody who got confronted over an Obama bumper sticker.

my first reaction to the headline was "Oh Doug Bruce, are you up to shenanigans again?"

John Obringer sent out a letter to his tenants at the Casa Adobe Apartments on Wednesday.

... And Pedro is working on an "adobe." Can you say that with me? "Adobe".

It would be funny if all of the Obama voters moved when their leases were up and no new Democratic voters moved in and he lost his job because of the lost revenue.

Mentat: He won't do shiat. He's just another loud-mouth bootstrapper that talks tough but never backs it up. He knows he would get sued into oblivion if he tried that.

And when he sent out this letter threatening anybody who voted for Obama with eviction he just made the process that he will have to go through to evict somebody that much harder. When he takes somebody to eviction court all they have to do is whip out this letter. They may not win, but it sure will gum up the works and draw things out, hell you may even find a judge siding with the person being evicted because of this letter.

I wonder if they have a possible lawsuit against this guy for intimidation. Any internet lawyers know?

I'm not sure that falls under any of the forms of discrimination that are actionable. However, it can be argued that the lower rent for Romney supporters amounts to a bribe to force you to vote a certain way, which is a felony.

2012-12-06 11:20:40 PM
Oh bother. I was gonna get all up and angry... But there's really nothing there. Just one of those spouting off things.

If he were to actually raise rents on certain tenants based on how he imagined they voted, then sure, unleash the legal dogs, and I'd happily contribute.

But this is just petulance. No one's rent is changing based on voting. Not worth our time.

The only good thing about Colorado Springs is its outrageously awesome German bakery. Otherwise the entire place is a complete waste of a beautiful landscape. Not one single other redeeming quality about that place.

Scott would be the first African American from the south since Mississippi Republican Senator Blanche Bruce lost reelection in 1881

And only the seventh elected in the history of the US.

/both of these are depressing statistics.
