Am I the only one who couldn't give two shiats that this twit is pregnant?

/I mean, if I were the daddy, I'd want everyone to know, but the kid ain't mine so who cares.

I'm afraid it means you're cynical and jaded. A happy, pretty couple who just happen to be royalty are expecting a child, who will undoubtedly be the most precious thing ever until the evil faerie shows up to curse the baby at the christening.

I think it is really bad form for these companies to bombard her with shiat so early on in the pregnancy. What if she loses the baby? Then she's stuck looking at all that crap.

Being pregnant the first time was pretty annoying. I can't imagine being a royal and being newly pregnant.

2012-12-06 04:24:01 PM
I hope these things will be donated to charity or sent back with a note that says "we don't want your American crap". The royals don't just accept any crap that people send them.

British taxpayers should be selling the sponsorship rights.

Turn that baby into a NASCAR driver.

2012-12-06 04:24:39 PM
I'm thinking maybe someone in these companies should have done some research and worked out that unsolicited gifts are sent back.

So far all they've got is a press release showing desperation "we sent a present, and it was awesome, and it was really expensive" and new mothers everywhere are saying "so where's my stuff? I don't deserve some free stuff but some rich biatch with access to more money than you can imagine gets it all for free?"

I'm doubting that Trojan or Planned Parenthood want a piece of that.

If I wasn't poor from spending money on my wedding I'd sponsor you for TF for a month. Great comment!

The one thing about this article is that it says "TMZ reports that Kate has already received swanky goodie-baskets" TMZ does report that, but I would expect to hear that the stuff is being sent back or donated. There's no way Kate is going to take some morning sickness cure that came for free in the mail.

Yep. If I were on the royal staff, I'd be on the lookout for any gift bundle containing a spinning wheel or apples. You never know with these modern evil faeries. It'd be just like them to go corporate.

I'd hate to see her swell up like a tick and stay that way. Then get a divorce and live in a trailer park and drinking cheap beer with curlers in her hair like most of the women here in the U.S.

While this is all very stupid I do have to say I'd like to see some shots of Will with a Baby Bjorn.

It's not stupid, obviously. It's clever shots at advertising. She'll probably end up giving most of it away, but if she does use any...score!

They should really be sending her high end maternity clothes though. maybe she'll wear some and they make money that way.

Somehow I don't think people in the US are that wound up on this subject.

At least not while they're busy reading Kardashian tweets.

Nobody's that wound up over it. I was reading a British newspaper, and they're even more insulting than we are about how much they simply don't care, and are not looking forward to months of non-stop fetus coverage.

So I don't know who it is that gives a fark, because this shiat will be covered every single day by every single media outlet, and it must be paying off for them.

Just out of curiosity, why is she still Kate Middleton? Shouldn't she be Catherine Windsor by now?

If the British tabloid press doesn't publish a shot of the baby crowning, then they should just turn in their cell-phone-hacking badges and quit.

PumpkinCake: Just out of curiosity, why is she still Kate Middleton? Shouldn't she be Catherine Windsor by now?

She isn't Kate MIddleton; subby's a nincompoop. She's Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. The royals are the House of Windsor (und nicht Saxe-Coburg und Gota, nein, NEIN, DAS STIMMT NICHT!). The only one who uses Windsor as a last name is Will's uncle Edward.
