Gunny Highway: ChrisDe: Earguy: In another Peppermint Patty falls asleep in class and starts shouting, 'Tracey! Tracey, I love you! Tracey, do you hear me, I love you?'

Proof finally that Peppermint Patty was gay?

Always thought it was weird that there was an original Patty, then later a Peppermint Patty.

original Patty

What was the Original Patty's characteristics and why was she changed?

Well, the key characteristic was that she looked just like Charlie Brown in a dress.

Charles M Schultz was actually a composite of the directors of the Rand Corporation circa 1952. An artificially created personage, much like Chef-Boy-Ardee, Betty Crocker, and Barack Obama.

FunkOut: Patty was bi, Marcy was gay.

Exactly. People forget that Peppermint Patty had an on-again, off-again thing for good ol' Charlie Brown. The great thing was that she clearly considered him to be a loser, and her flirtations with him were usually more like playful threats. It's pretty clear that if they ever hooked up she would have pegged him silly, laughed at how miserable it made him that he enjoyed it, and never called him again.

Now, I'm not saying there was nothing between her and Marcie. Of course there was. But Marcie had a little backbone to her, underneath all that ostentatious submission. I bet she gave as good as she got in the sack.

Funny, there's a Russian movie coming out soon with a similar premise: that all the oligarchs and even leaders like Boris Yeltsin were/are computer constructs and people are fooled into believing they've "met" them.

Directed by Frank Capgras?

My wife and I just watched Charlie Brown Christmas tonight, fark are little kids some miserable sobs! I'm not sure how I ever noticed, but wow. It's a wonder Charlie Brown didn't just slit his wrists with the shards of a broken Christmas ornament.

Trolling of the highest order, and in a Peanuts-themed thread, no less.

10 lashes for you good sir, and then go see that creepy kid who believes she is a psychiatrist near the boxes over there...

Dear Kids:

When you grow up, you will learn your heroes were right bastards. The only way to avoid that is not have heroes.
