Rawr882: Ugh, I have started fearing work trucks with loose crap in the back. A few weeks ago, a pry bar fell off the back of a truck and almost bounced through my windshield, but I braked just in time, prompting the person behind me to swerve, run over it, and turn it into a projectile yet again toward someone behind them. The bastards didn't even notice.

Worse yet, they'll get where they're going, reach for it and go "damnit who stole our prybar?!"

Yeah... lock your shiat up, both to avoid theft, and involuntary manslaughter.

Look to see if there is a billboard nearby.

I had my windshield "dinged" in Salt Lake City by some piece of debris and seeing where the object hit my windshield and the fact that there was no car within 100 yards in front of me, I immediately pulled off the freeway and made my way back up along the side street next to the interstate. Up on a billboard was a couple of asshole sign installers that looked down at me like I was some kind of alien. I asked them why they were throwing objects on the freeway and they gave me the "I-don't-have-any-idea-what-you-are-talking-about!" story. I looked down and found several conduit nuts that had raised spokes. The spokes fit the dings in the windshield perfectly. I told them I was calling the police and giving them all the information I had.

/// I never found out what happened to them.

jelloslug: Investigators hope the serial number from the saw blade will help them find the person responsible.

I guess they will just punch the number in the national saw blade registration database and then nab that perp.

I work at the National Saw Blade Registration office in Saw Grass, and no, we can't do that.
