Mog32Kupo: If I recall that is a pic of a dog with major issues physically so his owner brings him out in the water to relax him and let him get to sleep

Not saying it's not a touching photo, but in the end, it's a dog.

I would so not want to be that sailor...

I feel bad for that Burmese family. They look underfed and terrified of going back to their home country.

Got dusty in here all of a sudden. The guy with his dog in the lake has to be in the top 10, if not the top 3.

I can only speak for myself, but I like dogs better than most people.

/Oh hai there!

Is that real? I suspect it is not, given that the left wing of the shuttle would be finding itself somewhere in the middle of that two-story apartment given the shuttles 78 foot wingspan...and there is no sign of the Shuttle's Inglewood entourage (police...SoCal Edison...security...theme music...)

Perspective in a cameras lens is not your perspective. Even when its a cheap ass iPhone!

I work with a lot of Burmese. That family was just handed their death sentence.

The future apparently is a boot stomping on a human face while everything catches on fire and floods with high winds at the same time.

Maybe because they were playing tennis?
Oxfords just wouldn't look right.

These two were my definite favorites...

13. Curiosity control room
lh4.googleusercontent.com

I was watching the web feed live, and I pretty much jumped out of my chair and shouted "WOOHOOO!" as well. :D

14. Surface of Mars from Curiosity's POV
lh6.googleusercontent.com

A lot of people seem to look at Mars and think, "meh, it's just a bunch of rocks and sand", but I'm not ashamed to say that I think that planet is gorgeous. And, that we human things have managed to land a one-ton nuclear powered mobile chemistry lab and camera platform on another planet -- AND IT WORKS! -- is pretty awe-inspiring, too. :)

The protesters, yes. The dogs....not so much.

Yeah, I definitely saw a bit of THIS in that picture.

Nogale: I don't buy the caption for #33. Based on the position of the kid and the soldier, and the expression on his face, I don't believe she was really trying to punch him.

It did look fishy, glad jedihirsch revealed the truth. It's just slimy forced confrontation propaganda. Problem is there are plenty of people I can think of that will buy into it hook, line, and sinker.

FunkOut: I feel bad for that Burmese family. They look underfed and terrified of going back to their home country.

It got me wondering how bad Burma must be cause I know Bangladesh ain't no walk in the park.

Tumunga: Grand_Moff_Joseph: Those are powerful images alright - powerful reminders of how craven, hateful, and selfish we humans can be. If humanity had any sense of decency, we'd look on most of these images and be ashamed of ourselves.

Yes, I do, I'm biased in favor of accuracy and not propped staged photos

Yes, you're clearly in favour of accuracy, so much so that you linked to articles from no name little blog that claims to combat the 'assault on Israel's legitimacy' and the director of CAMERA, a 'pro-Israel media watchdog group' that seeks to "respond to what it considers the media's "general anti-Israel bias."

Yeah, real accurate bias you got there.

He may be referring to #23. Either way, it's obvious that he hates dogs.

FraggleStickCar: Gee I wonder if you have some sort of bias in this conflict.

jedihirsch will always have a special place in my heart for the one time he gave a complete and utter smackdown to another famous fark.com poster and demonstrated that [Redacted to not violate guidelines] was a poseur who used a small amount of specialized knowledge to claim a much bigger intellectual standing.

Link

OK [Redacted] let me end off with this before I go to sleep. Which one of us has a degree in Jewish history from a respected university, which one of us is a semicha program at a yeshiva, which one of us is FFB, which one of us has actually published something in a rabbinical journal, which one of us has connections in the heirarchy of chabad, visnitz, satmar, belz and puppa, alond with several yeshivish groups.

Once you acknowledge that that is me, we can move on and you can admit you are talking out of your arse. A gitten Nacht [Redacted]
