Nogale: I don't buy the caption for #33. Based on the position of the kid and the soldier, and the expression on his face, I don't believe she was really trying to punch him.

The kid was there for a photo up. There was a couple of them, with adults taking pictures. They were going up to the soldiers, trying to get a response. When one soldier wouldn't comply, they would move to the next one. None of it worked, because this was the best pic they could get.

Surprised no photos of London's Olympic or Paralympic opening and closing ceremonies made the list. They were full of stunning images. I probably would have gone with the British paralympic athlete in the closing ceremony who lost the use of her legs in the 7/7 attacks, the day after London won the 2012 bid. Her story really struck me at the time.

Photo #5 is a really good one. It's a shame there weren't any of that armless archer on the US team though - that guy was freaking incredible!

Way back in 1973 an exuberant 11 year old version of myself snuck up behind Mickey Mouse at Disneyland in Anaheim and proceeded to lift his head off by pulling on the ears.

He was somewhat pissed off until he saw it was just a kid drunk on the excitement of being at Disneyland.

I think at first he thought he was being attacked. I wonder what would happen if a kid tried a stunt like that today?

Fashionistas pose for photographs in front of a homeless man outside Moynihan Station following a New York Fashion Week show in September.

Those aren't models, are they? They look too short to be models, even with those massive heels.

There are a lot of these women in midtown-west (where this pic was taken, in the garment district). Typically, they were former sorority girls from mid-level schools who thought they were good enough to be models. Instead, they have to settle for working in the accounts receivable or purchasing departments at the fashion houses they once hoped to model for. That still doesn't stop them from playing dress-up, just like when they were little girls.

I hope to god that you're just making a pathetic attempt at trolling, and that you aren't really that damn dumb.

But, just for the record, you must have failed to notice that most of these pictures came from countries that are controlled by despots, dictators, and/or religious zealots, who operate often brutal regimes under a shroud of "democracy".
