Why does the AFA want to declare war on Christmas?

2012-12-05 01:27:28 PM
I wonder if One Million Moms is actually a group paid for by JC Penny (and others) to cause "controversy".

2012-12-05 01:28:19 PM
On its website, One Million Moms states, "Since April, JC Penney's has not aired Ellen DeGeneres in one of their commercials until now. A new JCP ad features Ellen and three elves. JCP has made their choice to offend a huge majority of their customers again. Christians must now vote with their wallets. We have contacted JC Penney's several times in the past with our concerns, and they will not listen. They have decided to ignore our complaints so we will avoid them at all costs."

So what, precisely, are their concerns? Is it that Ellen is gay? Or is it that she's open about it? I'm sure these busybody nitwits buy lots of stuff made and promoted by gay people without their awareness. Where has anyone seen Ellen promoting homosexuality?

I mean, I watched the video clip and didn't see Ellen forcing the elves to suck dick. So what exactly is their problem?

So STFU, moms.

Diogenes: So what, precisely, are their concerns?

I don't really understand this whole thing either, and I never have.

What is it, specifically, about Ellen DeGeneres and JC Penney that has this group up in arms? She's not the first gay person on television and she's not the first gay person to do commercials.

Help me out here. I don't get it.

i'm guessing "one million moms" is neither comprised of moms, nor is there a million of them.

From AFA Wiki:

One Million Moms/One Million Dads projectAFA created One Million Moms and One Million Dads, two websites with the stated goal of mobilizing parents to "stop the exploitation of children" by the media. It uses these websites to organize boycotts and urge activists to send emails to mainstream companies employing advertising, selling products, or advertising on television shows they find offensive.[86] In 2012, the group started and then backed off from a failed campaign against the hiring of talk show host Ellen DeGeneres as a spokesperson for department store chain JC Penney.[87] They opposed this employment on the grounds that DeGeneres is "an open homosexual".[88] At a taping of her show, DeGeneres informed her audience of the fizzled effort: "They wanted to get me fired and I am proud and happy to say JC Penney stuck by their decision to make me their spokesperson."[89] The One Million Moms expressed opposition to Marvel and DC Comics issues which featured gay characters. They described the story lines as a "brainwashing and desensitizing experience" for children, written to "influence them in thinking that a gay lifestyle choice is normal and desirable."[90]

Pretty farking stupid if you ask me.

Well, that's perfectly understandable. I watched Finding Nemo with my five-year old the other night, and Dory turned him gay. At least I think she did. My son told me he loves Thomas the Tank Engine, so, gay, right?

The My Little Pony Killer: Why does the AFA want to declare war on Christmas?

Actually, JC Penny is on the AFA's "Nice" list as they are "for" Christmas: http://action.afa.net/Detail.aspx?id=2147486887 The bigot groups can't keep their stories straight or their boycotts coherent and TFA even says they're affiliated!

One million moms, my ass.

More like six white guys and their twenty sockpuppet accounts each.

2012-12-05 02:33:16 PM
I seriously fail to see the outrage. They sound like 1 million bigots.

2012-12-05 02:33:53 PM
I'm subscribed to the AFA's email group (I immediately marked it as spam so hopefully an aggregate of people do the same). Their constant histrionics and hyperbole are hysterical. The way they tell it, Home Depot is a mere disco ball away from being the gayest thing since Truman Capote.

It's that she's gay. That's it. Literally. They have no other objections than to J.C. Penney hiring an openly gay person as their public face, because they think that's promoting the gay agenda.

They're a hate group, pure and simple, just like the AFA.

You know how some kidnappers or activists will say "we" in their statements when there's actually only one of them, in order to intimidate their target or the police? That's what "one million moms" is. It's pure overcompensation.

So it appears this group doesn't just hate gays, they openly think they shouldn't be successful. I suppose they'll be fine with all these people going on welfare because they can't get jobs.

They are the AFA and they are a hate group like the KKK or whatever. If they really wanted to hurt JC Penny, they would endorse them.

Other businesses the AFA boycotts:

7-Eleven, Abercrombie & Fitch, American Airlines, American Girl, Blockbuster Video, Burger King, Calvin Klein, Carl's Jr., Clorox, Comcast, Crest, Ford, Hallmark Cards, Kmart, Kraft Foods, S. C. Johnson & Son, Movie Gallery, Microsoft, MTV, Mary Kay, NutriSystem, Old Navy, IKEA, Sears, Pampers, Procter & Gamble, Target, Tide, Walt Disney Company, and PepsiCo.

Pampers and Tide. LOL.

One Million Moms

God I can picture one of their meetings. A bunch of screeching harpies with short (I don't give a fark anymore) hair and mom jeans, sharing photos of their kids that they think define their life but no one else gives a fark about, biatching about their impotent husbands, who are only impotent because of the above and biatching about gays.

And I guarantee I'd throw it to Ellen before any of these witches. Not that Ellen would have me but you get the point.

I'd love them to really try a true boycott of Microsoft. Apple should be on there, too, now that I think of it. They offer domestic partner benefits. As does Oracle. And I would imagine Cisco does, too.

Guess it's time to throw out all your computers and any devices that access the internet, Christians. Be strong in your faith.

I haven't seen the ad...is Ellen recruiting the elves into the gay lifestyle? Is she bribing them to sprinkle all the gifts in Santa's bag with magical fairy dust that turns kids...well, into fairies?

What is the terrible danger seen by One Dozen Moms?

Dwarves aren't actually gay, it's just that the women are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for dwarf men.

Unless they have an argument against this that isn't based on faith, they have no argument.

Yep. And just in case the right-wing mouth-breathers try and complain about SPLC labeling AFA as a hate group....

"This, by the way, is why Elana Kagan should not be elevated to the Supreme Court. Although she has not come out of the closet herself, her lesbian partner has, and Ms. Kagan's sexual preference is an open secret in Washington circles. Her indulgence in sexually aberrant behavior should make her ineligible to serve on the highest court in the land."

And when they're not spewing hate, they're just being a special blend of stupid and crazy:

So Hitler himself was an active homosexual. And some people wonder, didn't the Germans, didn't the Nazis, persecute homosexuals? And it is true they did; they persecuted effeminate homosexuals. But Hitler recruited around him homosexuals to make up his Stormtroopers, they were his enforcers, they were his thugs.

Their website clearly depicts what a real American mom should look like.

Put a shotgun in her hand, and It could be one of those female country singer cd covers.

It is kind of like how the GOP tried to get anti-gay amendments on the state ballots in swing states like MN to encourage their base to vote........turns out more people are adamant for personal freedom than are as bigoted as the GOP base.
