This non-story soon to be used as filler on Fox Non-News in between non-breaking-non-updates in the benghazi-non-scandal.

But Obmama deserves it because he is a Sudanese citizen who pretended to be born in Kenya then illegally entered the US via China (after he ate a bunch of dogs there) so he could take our guns and give them to the communists along with all of our taxes and battleships that protect our freedoms and also he gives them Obamaphones.

STUDY IT OUT!

A graduate of Castro Valley High School[17] in Castro Valley, California, she attended Stanford University. While a freshman, she was outed by the college newspaper when an interview with her was published by the student newspaper before she could tell her parents.[18] Maddow earned a degree in public policy from Stanford in 1994.[19] At graduation she was awarded the John Gardner Fellowship.[20] She was also the recipient of a Rhodes Scholarship and began her postgraduate study in 1995 at Lincoln College, Oxford. This made her the first openly gay or lesbian American to win an international Rhodes scholarship.[21][22] In 2001, she earned a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in politics from Oxford University.[23] Her thesis is titled HIV/AIDS and Health Care Reform in British and American Prisons (supervisor: Dr Lucia Zedner).

Why yes, he was consulting with them.

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama met with Rachel Maddow, Al Sharpton and other "influential progressives" on Tuesday as part of his campaign to sell the public on the need to extend the Bush middle-class tax cuts.

He wasn't asking them how much to raise taxes for which income bracket, he was looking to the media for suggestions on how to do media related stuff. Much in the same way Bush met with "influential conservatives" and Fox News. It's what happens when you've two ideologically driven news organizations.

Ignore everything else and keep focusing on her sexuality. That's special.

Fark if I know about Sharpton. Probably to shut him up.

It would have been better if you called him "pResident B. Hussein Obama"

Huh, Rachel hasn't mentioned anything like that.. no, I'm not giving the Weekly Standard a click.

Why Al Sharpton? Because Jesse Jackson isn't allowed within 1000 yards of the President, that's why.

i can see why he'd rather talke to Rhodes Scholar Rachel Maddow vs. high school graduate sean hannity.

makes sense to me.

2012-12-05 10:34:53 AM
Hmmmm. Rachel Maddow has a PhD and most definitely took some public sector econ courses.

Grover Norquist has an MBA and knows jackshiat about public policy.

But the first one is bad because she's liberal, right? Stupid article is stupid.

Well, gay folks have figured out how to make do with none of the tax breaks married couples get. They also save a lot of money by not having Marriage Wars. They also have fewer kids. In lesbians' case, they sometimes save by not having wall-to-wall carpets, too.

Oh, and Maddow has a public policy degree, holds a PhD in politics, was a Rhodes scholar (like Hillary Clinton), and is a "person in the know" when it comes to American media.

Sharpton is barely fit to be her escort. I don't know how he still finds work, especially on TV - his rhetorical cadence sucks (epsekally now...that...he's...olllllllllllllder), his inflection is not clear, his ideas are dumb (he sounds like an idealistic 13 year old, not even as connected with reality as a college freshman communist) and his history makes him unfit to be objective about pretty much everything.

But he was a preacher, so let's all genuflect to his "spiritual wisdom".

2012-12-05 10:36:23 AM
Only concern I have is co-opting Maddow. She shouldn't be seen as a mouthpiece for the administration, as the administration is not liberal.

2012-12-05 10:36:49 AM
Still beats the GOP: I don't see Obama signing any fiscal suicide-pacts with 14-year-olds.

Ye damne Englishfolk!

It puts me in a tough spot... I'm an Obama "sympathizer" but I also find that elitist attidue to be naturally hateful. Fortunately, it's really more your elitist attitude than anything than Obama's but I only know a very few Ivy League graduates who aren't suffused with self-satisfaction.

2012-12-05 10:38:07 AM
The original article is here. To say that he is consulting with progressive pundits would seem to imply that he is seeking advice. The article suggests that he is simply meeting with high profile progressives as part of his publicity campaign to gain support for keeping the bush tax cuts for the middle class.

According to this, Obama's not too fond of either of them.

To paraphrase another Farker: Obama is playing chess, and the GOP is shoving Candyland pieces up their noses.

That reminds me of a recent happening on my town's "Patch.com" page. In the comments section after a political article, the usual arguments broke out. One self proclaimed "tea party" member ridiculed someone for using wikipedia as a reference to back his claims because it's all "fictional content made up by users." Later in the comments he then went on to provide a link to "Yahoo Answers" to back up his own claims.

So he's not well-spoken? I know that's a must if a black man is to be taken seriously.

"Whenever Colin Powell is on the news, white people give him the same compliments: 'How do you feel about Colin Powell?', 'He speaks so well! He's so well spoken. I mean he really speaks so well!' Like that's a compliment. 'He speaks so well' is not a compliment, okay? 'He speaks so well' is some shiat you say about retarded people that can talk. What do you mean he speaks so well? He's a farking educated man! How the fark did you expect him to sound, you dirty motherfarker? 'He speaks so well.' What are you talking about? What voice were you expecting to come out of his mouth? 'Imma drop me a bomb today', 'I be Pwez o dent!'."
