Reach way back; maybe Æthelstan or Cnut.

What is the nickname or abbreviation for Humphrey?

Lord of the Crumpets

Sybarite: Reach way back; maybe Æthelstan or Cnut.

While Æthelstan doesn't go as far back as Augustus or Antigone, I do never-the-less approve of your choice. That would be a great name.

Don't tell me that they've removed Chlamydia, Vagina, and Clitoris from the list. What is this world coming to!?!?

What is this, the Dark Ages? Clearly, the name should be chosen by the Internet

2012-12-05 09:14:26 AM
Yeah, despite the very recent Germanic heritage of the royal family, I'm doubting they would ever go with Leopold. Wouldn't sit right with the commoners.

2012-12-05 09:16:46 AM
Antigone, does this mean that William will stab himself in the eyes?

2012-12-05 09:19:17 AM
Arthur would be good (although every Prince Arthur has died before making it to the throne). As would Henry or Edward. The idea of an Edward IX or Henry IX is something that would be popular.

Aiden, Caiden, Braeden, or Jayden. Or all of the above.

His royal highness Christopher Rupert Vwindemier Vlandamier Carl Alexander Francois Reginald Lancelot Herman...
Wait... Herman? *shrugs*
Herman.. Gregory James is giving a ball.

I came to nominate the overused trailer park names. So...THIS. And also Hunter.

Greetings, unwashed subjects! The palace is in a tizzy of excitement over Kate being knocked-up.
Whilst she is in hospital learning how to digest food (as opposed to yakking it into bucket), the staff is busily converting Willy's game-room into a nursery.
He's a bit miffed at having to play Xbox in the pantry - but sod him! Attempts are also being made to sober-up Harry and convince him to wear clothing.
We're also auditioning peeps for nanny & wet-nurse positions. (The waiting-room hasn't seen this much white squirting since -well- Harry's slumber party three weeks ago.)
We'll keep you abreast of Kate's baby-bump!. Off to the shops for prams & nappies! Toodles!

Hmph.

Incontinentia or Roderick.

I'm reminded of this:

Cowboy: Whoo! That is one crazy get-up, mister... Are you in the show?
Austin Powers: No, actually, I'm English.
Cowboy: Oh... I'm sorry.

but put "name" in for "crazy get up"

The royal family needs to ingratiate itself more with the immigrant population, so I suggest Mohammed if it's a boy or Nasreen if it's a girl.

2012-12-05 09:52:48 AM
DeShawn if it's a boy, Shaniqua if it's a girl.

2012-12-05 09:53:06 AM
Come on, Prince Humperdink!!! He'd be sure to have the greatest Princess Bride when he marries.

King Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho, First Of His Name.

Adela would draw accusations of naming her after the singer.
Jasper would draw accusations of naming him after the guy from Twilight.

On second thought, Jasper almost killed Bella and the Cullens. I vote for Jasper.

Nothing wrong with Augustus. That's a fine name.

Girl name: Sapphire
Boy Name: Theotis

Considering her pre-pregnancy weight and the fact that she's now hospitalized for it....I vote for Ralph.

I actually tweeted about this yesterday:

@goddammitsomuch

Yes it's true. Kate and I are expecting. Chosen name "Ruprecht Ludwig Wilhelm Lothar." Or "George" if it's a boy.

I agree. And perhaps the little tyke will grow up to conquer Britain as his namesake did before him.

They should either go with something contemporary, like Nevaeh or DaMiracle, or go old school with Ethelraed or Ethelfrith. Don't compromise!

Would Oranejelo or Lemonjelo suffice?

How 'bout John? Good biblical name.

They better not do Augustus, Augustus is my future son's name! Whatever they name their kid will become trendy and I don't want that to happen to another name I like!

He can be called Gus as a kid and then switch to Augustus later. Dr. Augustus (LastName), Augustus (LastName), Esq, and President Augustus (LastName) all work.

You know if they have a girl it's probably going to be named Diana or Elizabeth Diana if Granny causes a fuss.

The traditional royal voice. It is tradition to use the royal "we," AND TO USE THIS MUCH VOLUME WHEN ADDRESSING OUR SUBJECTS.

What's bad about being named after Humphrey bogart? One of the most awesome and attractive stars of his day.

I'm casting my vote for naming it James Bond, boy or girl.

Nevaeh is so last-decade. You need Onevaeh now, after the HeavenO movement.

Name him after someone important. You know a name like Barrack or Joe

If a boy, Cunedda or perhaps as a nod to Euro-unity, Vercingetorix.

If a girl, Muriel or Hilda.

Antigone would be an awesome name.

I would totally name my daughter that, if I was a douchebag.

Zelda if it's a girl
