The new findings add weight to the idea that gum disease may cause erectile problems.

What about erectile problems causing gum disease? If I can't get hard I'm probably not feeling to good about myself and therefore my hygiene slips.

Poor dental hygiene has been linked to heart disease. Heart disease has been linked to erectile dysfunction.

High sugar intake has been linked to obesity, poor dental health, heart disease and diabetes.

All these things are related.
