IMO,I think they'll try to go female non-white, since other than Brandy in season 1, it's been a bunch of white people judging (and mostly British judges).

I would think someone like a Wanda Sykes, but, they already have two comedians on the show, they probably need an actual professional singer to give some levity to the judging of the singers. No real thought on who that should be tho.

/ok, yeah, overthinking it a tad bit.

Wanda would be hilarious as a judge I'd think, but, as I said, this isn't "Last Comic Standing"... I can't imagine they would have three comedians as the judges. At least with Sharon Osborne, she was kind of the "Simon Cowell" type... not a singer, but, has strong music industry connections.

I generally hate the show, but Stern made it somewhat tolerable on the odd occasion when I joined my girlfriend on the couch to endure it.

The comparison between Stern, with his relevant comments and well-spoken criticisms, and the vapid emptiness of Sharon Osbourne and the plain old idiocy of Mandel - was striking. The show really feels like a "trailer-sized" version of American Idol. If you would of told me any show could make Idol look extremely classy and well-produced, I would have doubted.

I actually enjoy Idol for the most part. I never had a trueappreciation for Secrest's seamless job as "host" until I saw the black dude on AGT...what a nightmare!

I was actually thinking about that, but, I was thinking she was too "big" (figuratively) of a movie star to be a reality show host, but, I guess a lot of these stars are looking for these judging shows now. I guess I just couldn't see Tom Hanks or Hallie Barry doing it, and I'd put Queen Latifah pretty close to that level.

I'll agree, AGT hasn't proven yet that they can get "current star quality" judges like all of the singing shows have done. I guess we'll see what they can pull off.

I went and saw the after-season Vegas show where they bring together all the top acts. It was, I have to say, a really good show. That's the one reason I keep coming back to it: it actually does discover real talent.
