In other news, the Bobcats are 7-9. I realize how pathetic it is that 7-9 represents a massive, stunning improvement, but that's a massive, stunning improvement.

For a second I thought you were talking about the Panthers because it adds up to 16 and I was wondering what you were smoking to think the Panthers would win out.

Kidd-Gilchrist seems like one of the most down-to-earth guys to come through UK. Plus, I love the fact his motor seems to have no off-switch

MKG is going to be a commodity in the NBA until he decides to retire. Very rarely calls his own number offensively, gets transition buckets making his entire team have to work less hard and the mofo plays ungodly hard all the time. plus he has goofy long arms.

We need more puppy threads on the sports tab. Everyone should post pictures of their dogs because I don't have one & I need to live vicariously through everyone else.

You know.... if you want.

The office puppy is trying to get me to play with her, so I'm getting a kick...

As for the Jordancats, they've been pretty competitive in all their games except for the Thunder game. Sessions, Haywood, and Gordon have been nice pickups, and Walker has actually been a fairly decent player. The problem with that team is the compete lack of post play between the big men. Mullins is the only one with the skill set, but he seems as allergic to the paint. After a promising rookie year, Biyombo has taken a huge step... sideways since he still can't keep out of foul trouble or catch any entry passes. Look for Henderson to probably be shipped out (no outside shot to complement slashers MKG, Walker, and Sessions) for a decent big man or a draft pick.

/Sorta follows the Nuggets, Jordancats, and Warriors

Without trying to, I've found myself watching a ton of Bobcats games this year. They're a way better team than they were last year, and I love MKG's game. They totally choked that game against the Blazers away, though. How do you let Luke Babbitt beat you?

Can't call his own number. Went to Kentucky. Probably doesn't know what his own number is.

I was rooting for the Cavs to be able to draft him somehow, someway (I mean, Davis would have been better, but I thought the Cavs had a realistic shot at MKG). Was disappointed in the #4 pick for that reason, but was hoping someone would fall in love with Robinson (or Barnes) and either MKG or Beal would end up with the Cavs. Instead, we've got Waiters. Who looks decent, mind you, and I hope it works out. But MKG and Irving running together sounded nigh-perfect.

/Waiters hasn't been a complete bust
//Him and Tristan are both guys that league insiders seem to think were reaches, but aren't *bad*, just not nearly as good as you'd want at #4
///Though honestly, was there anyone better than Thomson at #4 in 2011 that wasn't a PG? The only one I can think of is maybe Leonard, but he's a product of a great system and nobody thought he was worth the #4

As long as you don't mind getting an animal with upper respiratory diseases as they keep them in concentration-camp proximity. I've got 3 animals from them and all 4 had serous upper respiratory problems and 2 died from contagious diseases contracted from animals at the humane society. Their 1 "free" voucher for a vet checkup was a joke as not only do many vets not accept it, the medical problems led to a dozen vet visits between them not including the cremation costs.

I would never recommend anyone get an animal from the human society. Pick one up from a cattery or breeder.

What a wonderful personal anecdote.

I've had just the opposite experience - got a pet from a breeder and it was on death's door for the first 2 months, took thousands in vet bills to get it back to health.

Gotten 3 pets from a shelter and they have been the most loving, intelligent, sweet, and healthy pets one could want.
