Sorry, Mitt, sitting on a corporate board is not a "job". You're not producing anything.

How entrepreneurial of him.

"...That Romney was involved with the reporting of a $70 million fictional tax loss when he served on Marriot's board in the nineteen-nineties.

While Romney did not face criminal charges, unlike others linked to the scandal, the authors of the editorial wrote "his endorsement of this stratagem provides insight into Romney's professional ethics and attitude toward tax compliance obligations.""

Thank goodness he didn't have criminal charges so he can get right back into the BOD...

70 million in fictional tax loss? I was under the impression this was called accounting dressage.

He has to realize that seriously even though nobody even thought Romney would have a chance of getting the nomination for the GOP and as long as he was running and left him alone, we have a lot of catching up on the nit picking.

See how easy it is to get a good paying job, you lazy poors?

If you just pull yourself up by your bootstraps, one of your millionaire cronies will hire you, too.

That's good he's landed on his feet. I was worried about him for a while. Hopefully, he can turn this into a nice career and build for his future.

So the writer committed libel, but it's not criminal libel since he's a so called professional journalist.

Why would we forget that less than one month ago, you and your birthbagger brethren wanted Mitt Romney to have the most powerful job in the whole farking country? Just because Fox News and Rush decided to start playing the "we never really liked him anyway" narrative less than 5 minutes after the election was called, doesn't mean that non-idiots are buying it.

Like McCain and Sarah Palin, you have to own that you wanted Mitt to be the face of your party.

Bigdogdaddy: Wyalt Derp: What, no gig on Fox?

Now what the hell would he do at Fox? I mean, at Marriot he will be able to cut wages, hire illegals, strip pension funds, cook the books and then sell them or close them down and sell the properties to make money to put in his 100 million dollar "IRA".

He would do the one other thing he is good at: saying anything people want him to say.

I heard that when he and his biatch were slumming it during their college years they had to eat canned tuna one time.

And they actually had to prepare it themselves. Just imagine it. Preparing canned tuna without the help of a servant.

It must have really stuck in Romney's craw that Obama won this election.

Ew.

Watching the final installment of Twilight would be helish enough to begin with but watching that film with the entire Romney clan?

as far as I can see, Mittens' main experience with taking over companies and asset stripping/downsizing

anyway, lets not pretend that mittens is being hired for any other reason than the fact that he can share funny handshakes with the Marriotts

I know I'll sleep better at a Marriott knowing that a significant chunk of my room fare went to men like Romney that are breaking their backs to ensure I have a pleasant, comfortable stay and not to the filthy maids and desk clerks who expect to get paid for nothing more than glorified housework.

I'm sure it did... Though, apparently his wife took it harder, if the stories are to be believed.

Romney's one of those privileged assholes, who has never known want. Never know what it's like to go without. It's was one of the few things about him that seemed genuine.

I used to see these types of people when I was younger and working at restaurants and bars on Cape Cod during the Summers. They're pleasant and polite enough as long as things are going their way... but you see their real side when something doesn't go their way. ...or they have to wait for something. ... or they can't get something they want. etc. etc.

This is the worst kind of asshole to have in any kind of governmental position. We found out all about that when Romney was Governor here. Thankfully, the American people made the right decision last month.

But the man who's worthwhile
is the man who can smile
when his shorts are too tight in the seat.

With the kind of deceitful and mendacious campaign that ticket ran on, America dodged a huge bullet when it failed. The fact that he won even 40% of the vote makes me extremely disappointed in a large portion of my fellow Americans. Not that I expect our leaders to be pious saints, but dammit, at least have a smidgeon of honor and morality!
