Anyone stupid enough to give Rob Schneider $1.5 million for a movie deserves to lose their money.

So Bo Duke is his brother? The more you know.

Not stupid, they were actively trying to swindle people with a rob schneider movie. They deserve to lose their movie for funding such an attack on western civilization, and their children should be monitored by flying drones.

The "Deuce Bigelow" star won't have his "Grown Ups 2" paycheck to rely on to fight this case -- the actor claims that he won't return for the sequel of the 2010 hit.

what, is Rob Schneider too good for an Adam Sandler movie now?

I initially thought this was about Rob Reiner.

There is a point where mindlessly quoting South Park cliches to mock the mindlessly cliche Hollywood movie industry surpasses 'ironic' and becomes exactly what it was mocking in the first place. We've clearly passed it.

You're over thinking it. Honestly, Rob Schneider has made me laugh in SNL and his shiatty movies, it's just all his movies conform to the South Park joke. All this talk about irony and the movie industry is irrelevant to simply mocking Rob Schneider's career.

I think it's more that Adam Sandler is at Rob Schneider level now, so he has no pull, and Schneider is at Gary Busey level.

2012-12-04 04:06:35 AM
Hm, Sandler may not be superstar darling anymore, but his movies still seem to pull in money. Its no longer automatic, but it seems the past 4 out of 5 movies he made, made profits 2-3 times (or more) than production costs.

He seems happy enough tho, wife, kids, etc.

Was it Judge Dredd? I've been reading 2000AD since the beginning and that film was a farking shambles. Even though everything about it was awful, Rob Schneider still managed to stand out for being particularly awful and having nothing whatsoever to do with the comic.

As a person who enjoys Southpark I have to agree with you. And just because Rob made a couple of crappy movies, he still got paid more than most of us make. So why the hating?

I like Rob. He's not the greatest actor by far, but whatever movie he's in, he gives it his all. He seems like a decent guy in real life.

Baseketball was not the fault of Parker and Stone. They starred in it, yes, but it was written and directed by David Zucker.

A simple, low cost, comedy about stupid immature men being stupid and immature and telling jokes being profitable? The hell you say!

Seriously, Grown ups wasn't the gold standard by which all comic of age stories should be told, but the movie itself was a laughable experience. It wasn't any more insipid than dumb and dumber or super troopers or Monty pythons holy grail.

There's a lot to say for just making simple movies with OK scripts and no expensive cgi or effects etc.

you, sir or madam, are a complete idiot.

you just compared admitting liking lady gaga and justin bieber music and then trying to compare it to classics like Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon or something. Python's classic and will endure forever, those other two are no where near.

I see no defense for the tripe they actually wrote and directed. It doesnt add up, either, because the south park movie was brilliant.

For some comedy gold, check out this "interview" with Rob Schneider by John Lassman of KQRS radio in Minneapolis. This is from back when Schneider was on SNL.

Lassman is putting Schneider on by using the character of the clueless "Chucker" to interview him.

Schneider has no idea that "The Chucker" and the station manager he complains to are the same person.

That was him? For some reason I thought it was Frank Whaley.

I get those two mixed up a lot, though.

Frank Whaley is a million times more awesome than Rob Schnieder.
