Well I guess those stories about how Wal-mart never settles lawsuits, especially suspicious ones just to make the claims go away are false. This story said she's filed workmen's comp claims against Wal-mart. Other accounts I've seen have her settling liability claims against Wal-mart as well as Walgreen's. Bet they don't settle this one. In fact, they should countersue her for damages including their legal costs.

So, what's *really* funny is this. Okay, so she's a slip and fall artist. And thought she could make a quick buck off of Walmart by pulling this stunt. So, she falls, except she actually knocks herself unconscious, causing herself legitimate medical problems. Is Walmart liable? Hell no! It was HER fault she fell down. So now she's got a legitimate problem (knocking her head and ending up in the hospital for 2 days), except there's no way in hell she'll get a dime out of Walmart, which was her original intent -- getting money for fake injuries. Instead, no cash for real injuries. I guess there is some justice in this world.

brassrob- I drove a 72 Pontiac Luxury LeMans for a few years in the mid-90's. All I had in it was an AM radio and a kick ass heater, but I'm rambling. My point is that I was forced to listen to "Dr. Laura" every afternoon for lack of anything else on. I was appalled by nearly every single thing she said. Her views on homosexuality, working moms, divorce, everything...she's so damned close minded!! I kept listening in hopes that she might redeem herself at some point. She never did.

I know people who totally lost their Christmas spirit over this biatch, and others who acted poorly on Black Friday. I think we should sue her for pain and suffering at the loss of our Holiday. SHE RUINED CHRISTMAS FOR EVERYONE!!!!!

I've never heard about Wal-Mart never settling lawsuits. A few years back my dad had a claim against them because he slipped on wet floor that hadn't been marked with a any sort of wet floor sign, and he broke his tailbone. It took a while, but he was compensated for it (so long that I didn't even know what he got money for when he did, heh).

GARRR!!! DVD != DVD player! It took me a while to figure out why people were so excited about $30 DVDs.

Interesting that what the paramedics had to say was ignored in this one...
