we actually took elephant DNA ... and we modified it such that it was identifical to the mammoth DNA.

Can't they make stem cells which are identifical also? From that they can grow mammoths.

But seriously, how cool would it be to see mammoths, giant sloths, Arctodus, homotherium, american cheetahs, woodland musk ox, and irish elk running around again. Oh, and get to work on getting a living Titanis while you're at it.
