NFC East open this year because the birds are shiatting all over themselves and then slathering themselves with it while Andy "Fat ass" Reid stuffs his face with Twinkies like they're going out of... oh, nevermind.

Eh...I guess this'll go green eventually.

Week 13 weird stats & stuff:

-Only two teams are still undefeated at home: Atlanta and Seattle. The Houston Texans are still the only team without a road loss.
-Four teams maintain perfect division records: Houston, New England, Denver, and Green Bay. The Packers are the only one of those teams who has not clinched a playoff berth.
-A fifth team is unbeaten within its own division: the St. Louis Rams, who of course do have one tie in division play.
-With four weeks left to play, 33% of the total playoff berths are already spoken for.
-Take a guess at which teams leads the NFC in scoring right now. Nope, not that one. Not that one either. Still wrong...the correct answer is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (although the Giants can pass them by scoring more than 28 points tonight).
-Tampa is still 97 points behind the New England Patriots, though. In fact, to get an idea of just how dominant the Pats' offense has been, Houston is second in the league in total points scored...79 behind New England.
-Despite having been benched in San Francisco, Alex Smith is still fourth in the league with a 104.1 passer rating.
-Ryan Tannehill (72.3) has the lowest passer rating among quarterbacks who have started every game this year & still hold that starting job. Assuming Mark Sanchez (71.4) will remain on the bench.
-Matthew Stafford leads the league in passing yardage, but you'll never guess who's number one in yards/attempt. Seriously, you'll never guess: it's Cam Newton, at 8.26. You'll also never guess who's number three: Alex Smith, with a 7.98 average.
-Don't look now, but Chris Johnson is only 7 yards away from the 1,000-yard rushing mark.
-This week's C.J. Spiller can't-be-human stat: 11 of Spiller's 137 rushes have gone for 20 or more yards. That's a hair above 8% of his carries.
-Detroit's Calvin Johnson leads the league in receiving yardage, which isn't particularly surprising. What might be is that he's currently 246 yards ahead of second-best Brandon Marshall. Johnson is also the only receiver in the NFL averaging more than 100 yards/game. He averages 119.
-Tales of his demise have been greatly exaggerated: Wes Welker is once again leading the league in receptions, with 92.
-Phil Dawson's miss yesterday not only denied him a perfect kicking season, it knocked him out of first place in accuracy among qualifying kickers (at least 1 attempt per team game). Pittsburgh's Shaun Suisham is now the league's most accurate field goal artist, with a 96.0% success rate.
-San Francisco's David Akers is only 1-5 on field goal tries from 50+ yards out, but it was a doozy: the longest successful field goal in the league this season, at 63 yards.
-We all know Von Miller is a beast, but consider this: he has actually sacked opposing quarterbacks for the length of the football field this season, 100 yards lost in total. Of course, San Fran's Aldon Smith has knocked passers back by 128 yards.
-Houston's J.J. Watt is currently 6th in the league with 15. Oh, sorry...that's 15 passes defensed. He is the only player in the top 40 who is not a defensive back. In fact, you have to go all the way back to the logjam in 63rd place to find another defensive lineman (Minnesota's Brian Robinson and San Diego's Corey Liuget, who have 7 each).
-Having just mentioned those superb defensive linemen, it's no wonder that the Cincinnati Bengals lead the league in sacks. Wait...what?

This is the NFL, we prefer a flashy player who makes a lot of mistakes to a solid player who doesn't make mistakes. Because the other players are "boring game managers".
