I prefer my own concoction. I call it an albino reindeer.
It's basically a white russian, but instead of the regular dairy you use eggnog. You do have to stir it up a bit as the nog seems to ball up and almost curdle.

It's Johnny Walker Black over a large ice cube.

Chick drinks.
With mega calories, low alcoholic bang
Not the greatest mix
Fire the bartender IMO.

Also, there is very little alcohol in #5.

If you get wasted on a shot of milk or a fluff of bourbon whipped cream, come and sit on my lap before you hurt yourself.

Grated cinnamon

The classics are sometimes the best.

Do a shot of whatever. Chase with a cookie.

Though I would enjoy the grinch. Midori is pretty tasty, and the vodka means you will get some booze out of it.

Where are the farking recipes? I had to click through two pages to get the recipe for one of them. Fark you. Give me pictures and tell me what's in it. That's all anyone wants from this kind of list.

Also, those of you using carton egg nog and adding alcohol to it, please do yourself a favor and make real egg nog. It's a bit of work, but not difficult (mostly whipping and folding egg whites and cream) and it is an utterly ass-kicking drink.

Bing energy drink with chocolate vodka. Tastes like the inside of a cherry cordial.

These are all terrible drinks for terrible people who don't like alcohol. One item on the list doesn't even have booze, one has a tiny amount of uncooked booze in the cream topping, and two require two clicks from BuzzFeed to actually reach a recipe.

The only decent one is The Grinch, but that's just a Midori Sour with candy-cane crumbs and it's much better without candy-cane crumbs. (And Midori is better without even the sour.) If you want an interesting Christmas drink that's not retarded, float some red absinthe on top of Midori in a shot glass.

It was snowing up in the mountains this weekend. First drink I ordered when I got to the bar was a hot chocolate with two shots of the cheapest brandy they had.

Too damn sweet but it was nice and warm and cozy and I enjoyed it.

Then I switched to bourbon.

Equal parts stoli vanilla and creme de cacao, splash of cream/milk/half and half. Delicious and boozy. Drink the Frangelico on its own with ice. Mostly you just have the sort of booze you mix with soda.

2012-12-03 04:12:07 AM
Mulled wine

Egg nog with spiced rum

Shots of the brown liquor of your choice

End of list

cyberspacedout: Eggnog + Jack Daniels or Jim Beam. Or both.

my uncle would pour a glass of whatever you liked - scotch, rye or whisky, wave the container of eggnog over it in a symbolic gesture, and hand you your glass full of booze with a hearty "enjoy the nog!"

2012-12-03 04:19:34 AM
She seems to have forgotten the recipies for the drinks, but I have them all right here:

1. Sniff an open bottle of booze

2. Spoon sugar in your mouth until you get diabetes

3. Garnish with a shot of insulin.

2012-12-03 04:31:08 AM

NobleHam: Mostly you just have the sort of booze you mix with soda.

Well, I did make ghetto variations of the Singapore Sling with club soda ... used to have the proper ingredients.

My parents have a lot of fruits growing in their yards -- oranges, lemons, plums, nectarines, loquats. Makes for interesting times when they're in season; pick up a bag and make fresh juice to go with the booze. Course, I've yet to try making loquat juice -- they are bitter little things.

Slibovitz. o_0

Oh No, you have to stay away from that stuff.

not so cool story time:
I had a serbian roommate and the only time she was ever nice to me was when she was wasted.
We ran into each other in the kitchen after bar one night, and she offered me a shot of her dad's homemade Slibovitz that
she had brought back from Serbia.

In a plain unmarked plastic bottle.

We did multiple shots of it, and the next day I was ready to die.

In fact, I wondered if that was her plan all along; to kill me.

I don't think I've ever been that wasted/hungover, and I'm from Wisconsin, so I have had a lot of practice.....

/I threw up in the parking lot before work.
//At 4pm the following afternoon.
///she moved out shortly afterwards..... hmmmmm

I invented a holiday drink that the ladies like, and it delivers a powerful buzz. Simple to make, too.

The Borzoi:
Large shot of quality vodak
Shot of Amaretto
Splash of cinnamon schnapps
Chocolate milk to taste
Serve with a couple ice cubes in an old-fashioned glass.

Cheers!

2012-12-03 11:28:47 AM
I like a good cocktail as long as I don't have to make it. If I'm doing it myself it has to be simple: open and pour----I don't have the patience to keep mixing ten ingredients every time I need a refill.

2012-12-03 11:30:39 AM
1. Christmas tree lights blinking in the night
2. Fireplace crackling
3. Vince Guaraldi's "Christmastime Is Here (Instrumental)"
4. Lagavulin, neat.

Perfect.

Making it from scratch is always better, but when I'm running out of time, I suck it up & make Ambassador's Punch:

1 qt store-bought eggnog
6 oz. brandy
3 oz. creme de cacao
3 oz. dark rum

Whisk together, add big block of ice, grate nutmeg over the top, provide sleeping quarters for most of your guests.

It's hard to go wrong with spiked hot chocolate. I melt a bunch of shaved dark chocolate in with whole milk, add a handful of marshmallows and add a shot of vanilla. Heat the mix slowly so as to not burn the milk or chocolate. Serve in pint mugs, add a double shot of peppermint vodak. Drink while your lady cuddles up next to you naked under a blanket as you fail to finish watching the movie.

Aside from methanol-spiked bootleg vodka and that ilk, I was under the impression that there were no wrong answers when it came to booze. I prefer adult beverages that are made of fruit rather than grain. Therefore, cider and wine are very right indeed!

Blue Moon.

Get a pint glass.
Add random measure of spirits/liqueurs as dictated by you whim.
Drink.

So called because if you do this in a pub, it's a drink you can afford once in a blue moon.

with the armagnac try a Bittered Sling

- 2 oz Armagnac
- ¼ oz or less of Simple Syrup (I put 50/50 water/sugar in a small water bottle and shake it up until completely dissolved. there are other methods, but this is quick and easy. also, it will keep in the fridge for a while)
- 2 dashes bitters (angostura works, peychaud's could be interesting, feel free to experiment)
- Garnish with nutmeg on top

/ although, it might be better to drink the armagnac on it's own if it's good. either way, the armagnac, bitters and nutmeg will give this a great christmas taste

OK, Worst article EVER.
1) If you have an article about drinks, have the recipes there, not links to the sites that have links to the recipes. Arrgh!
2) If you have an article about drinks, the recipes should be for DRINKS, not cups of solids.
3) If you are going to have an article about Alcoholic Drinks, it would be best if they contained alcohol.
4) and worst of all: PUTTING DRINK IN A MARTINI GLASS DOES NOT MAKE IT A MARTINI

A martini contains Vodka or Gin, at least a trace of vermouth or a credible substitute (Chartreuse, Campari, Herbs muddled in Liqueur, something like that), and a twist or pickle of some sort (typically an olive). That's it. Not Gin or Vodka? Not a Martini? No Vermouth? You've got yourself a Churchill. Cranberry Juice? You've got a Cape Codder, Up. If you have a drink that is Sweet but not savory, you do not have a martini, you have something else. Nothing wrong with something else, BUT IT'S NOT A MARTINI! You want to put a cocktail onion in it, well, yes, that's a martini, but it's a particular type of martini, called a Gibson.

There's a lot of scope to play with here, but, like the blues, martinis are not about limitless choices.

Might I suggest as a Christmas Martini: BlueCoat Gin mixed 10:1 with Green Chartreuse with a Cornichon or Citrus Vodka Mixed 12:1 with Campari with a nice, pimento stuffed Spanish olive.

And remember, folks, Don't bruise your gin. Stir. Don't shake.. Shaking brings out the bitter. (You like the bitter, go ahead and shake, That's why James Bond likes 'em that way.) Keep shaking for Cream or Fruit Juice based drinks. WHICH ARE NEVER MARTINIS.

I guess I better grab some nawg to make Nawgged Out Kitty Sarks with.

Kitty Sark

Cutty Sark Scotch Whisky, one to two shots, depending on mood
Sweetened condensed milk, NAWG!! two shots, preferably handmade Nawg
slightly chilled spring water, shaken hard to oxygenate, to top off a champagne glass

Mix carefully, drink slowly; do not drink too many or lightweight kitty will be floating in zero-G
with goddamn reindeer antlers and blindingly bright red LED-illuminated snoot on!!
and NOT feeling fine for the next two days.

/thinks about hurling on NORAD from orbit
