Speaking of which, Andy Dalton and Carson Palmer must be gunning for the "Most Pick-6s Thrown By One Team Over A Five-Year Stretch" Award.

At least Dandy Alton won today. W00t!

LucklessWonder: So 25% of their season was prime time games...

Point missed.
The Pats get time because they're good. The NFC East gets time because advertising dollars.

Giants v Redskins might actually be fun to watch though.
I'm just tired of the hard-on for this division. Who actually thought this many December NFC East games in prime time was a good idea?

You heard about the guy who was bombed in both Nagasaki and Hiroshima?

Unluckiest dude ever?

He survived both? Luckiest dude ever.

Nice move NBC. Pre-empt Obama's economic plan commercial to go to yet another useless halftime show.

Carson Palmer is just a waste. He could've been a top notch QB, but somehow he was relegated to Cincy and purgatory.

Redskins v Cowboys 11/22
Packers v Giants 11/25
Panthers v Eagles 11/26
Eagles v Cowboys 12/2
Redskins v Giants 12/3
NFC East combined record: 22-26 (if no one ties on SNF or MNF)

I'd rather watch the Patriots play. They're actually good.

Because nothing is more exciting than watching the Patriots crush Miami.

At least I get to see one good team.
And the Pats didn't really crush Miami today, and even when Miami was absolutely atrocious one of their few wins was over the Pats.

This has been one of the worst NFL seasons ever. Amazingly boring. No good story lines.
Manning in Denver was good until we realized the AFC West was a dumpster fire.
Indy is kinda neat until you look at their schedule and realize they've beaten no one besides an overrated Packers team, and been thoroughly squashed by the Pats and the Jets (yes, really).

I've enjoyed the hell out of this season, what with the ascension of a really good rookie QB

While there is some undeniable truth to that, doesn't the NFC East contain the current champions? Who did rather decently vs. the Patriots, if I recall correctly. So arguably they're good too. Tomorrow's game is kind of enticing, especially given how the reverse fixture ended. It's also (IIRC) the only prime time appearance of the Redskins, one of those accursed NFC East teams that dominate the prime time schedule, and yet they only have 25% of the games in prime time that the poor, little-seen Patriots do.

/Okay you could argue the Cowboys/Redskins game on Thanksgiving is semi-prime time.

Bob Costas, that's total bs. Stop it. If he hadn't owned a gun, he would have had an axe or a hammer or a bow and arrow. Unbelievable.

Overall, I like Bob Costas, he seems much smarter than most sportscasters, and is certainly well-read and better prepared than many of his colleagues.

But to jump on a murder-suicide to express an editorial opinion on gun control? I cringe.

Looks like Seahawks/Niners for the division title, if everything plays out (meaning the 49ers lose to the Pats).

I dunno. Guns do make it easier to kill. With a melee weapon you typically have to think long and hard about beating someone to death while you're beating them to death.

Something about how Jevon Belcher was a knucklehead for the excessive touchdown celebration he performed on Saturday.

mialynneb: I'll win my league as long as Miles Austin doesn't score .40

Dammitsomuch.

My work league is full of chicks that don't change their farking rosters. So far this week we have as starters: Vick, McFadden, Burleson, and Roethlisberger.

I get sucked in every year but by week 3 only me and one other person are still setting our teams. Really a kick to the girly-bits when you get beat by someone that's had Beanie Wells in their line-up all damn season. Fark.

I have had four of the five people you mentioned on my team this year, I just couldn't get anything going at all this year. I was RB heavy all year. I had nothing for WRs. Or Kickers. Or Defense. Or TEs. or QBs. Worst. Year. Ever. Hell, I had a Brady/Welker combo and couldn't get any points, Then I traded for Schaub/Foster and couldn't get any points. I just really couldn't score.

By the time you read this, somebody else will have chimed in. But anyway, he was saying that we don't need handguns in this society.

True story. Before guns, murder never happened.
