what the fark is DALLAS calling timeout for? They have all the time in the world they need on first-and-goal from the 1. Take 15, 20 seconds, call a first down pass. If it's incomplete, you've got a stopped clock and plenty of time.

No reason at all to leave Philly time for a quick FG.

If you put $100 on the Eagles defense to hold on a goal line stand tonight, and won, you could afford to buy Hyperion tomorrow.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO THAT'S BETTER WHEEEEEEEEEE TOUCHDOWN

Adolf Oliver Nipples: mediablitz: Following the Colts for the last 11 years because they have done nothing but win. Uh huh. Okay...

With Peyton Manning under center for the last decade? They haven't done anything but win. One lousy season and you forget how good they really were.

I'm talking about winning the big one. It was not easy being a Colts fan and getting SO close.

Still, a LOT of fun to watch and totally worth it when they finally broke through.

Adolf Oliver Nipples: Di Atribe: Adolf Oliver Nipples: No, they lost to the Browns last week, and the trolling was epic. I manned up and took it because I dish it out. Just own it, dude.

Yeah, but.... I don't dish it. So..... why the hate, man?

It's the Cowboys.

Don't take it personally, I hate 30 other teams too.

I liken it to hating on the Yankees. They are the most visible team and usually built up to be "The Team" (they are called "America's Team" after all). Anything that invites that many fair weather fans is going to be hated on by those who have put in the slog (Chiefs...man, just the Chiefs). Besides, hate is supposed to be irrational and unjustified in most cases. So as Mr. Nipples has said, don't take it personally, but just know that there will be those that despise and utterly loath the thing that you love because football, that's why.

bionicjoe: How much is the NFC East on national TV?
Redskins v Cowboys 11/22
Packers v Giants 11/25
Panthers v Eagles 11/26
Eagles v Cowboys 12/2
Redskins v Giants 12/3
NFC East combined record: 22-26 (if no one ties on SNF or MNF)

I'd rather watch the Patriots play. They're actually good.

Yeah, because the Patriots never get shown in prime time.
Like say:
SNF on 09/23
TNF on 11/22
MNF on 12/10
SNF on 12/16

So 25% of their season was prime time games...

Because nothing is more exciting than watching the Patriots crush Miami.

At least I get to see one good team.
And the Pats didn't really crush Miami today, and even when Miami was absolutely atrocious one of their few wins was over the Pats.

This has been one of the worst NFL seasons ever. Amazingly boring. No good story lines.
Manning in Denver was good until we realized the AFC West was a dumpster fire.
Indy is kinda neat until you look at their schedule and realize they've beaten no one besides an overrated Packers team, and been thoroughly squashed by the Pats and the Jets (yes, really).

Eh, I guess it's a reasonable decision to run rather than go for the gold. A small risk that your passing play could run :10 off the clock, and a 50-yard kick isn't a gimme. Gain a few yards, now you've got a 45-yarder, and it's 17-10 at halftime.

Mr. Romo, just stare into the camera vacantly. That's beautiful, keep that up. No emotion, sweetie, just emptiness.

He's got black eyes. Like a doll's eyes. He doesn't seem to be livin'. Till he bites it, and then you hear the awful high pitched screamin' and despite all the poundin' and all the screamin' it's a pick six.

This may be weird, but any time I see an NFC East matchup on TV I want to see it. It's almost ALWAYS a good game.

But yeah, I love the Patriots being in prime time all the time.

I can't f*cking wait until next Monday to see what a Patriots/Texans matchup will turn out to be.

I wonder if you could psyche out an opposing kicker by playing a montage of missed putts on the jumbotron. "...and with the tap-in...OH! ...and with this easy three-footer for the lead...oh, my! ...looks like it's rolling right in, wait it broke to the left, he didn't see that!"
